I am tkaing the train from toronto, canada to newyork city. I have taken the train before to other canadian cities and there has been no security or checks or annything like that. so it was safe to bring weed. DOes anybody on these boards have any information on the security from canada to new york by train???? any advice would help. thanx

Although I have never taken a train anywhere, and have never been to Canada, my advice would be to avoid crossing country borders with any sort of illicit substances.

If you HAVE to, though, play it completely safe. Make sure you don't have the stuff in your pocket, for example. I'd suggest finding a good way to mask the smell, or hide it internally (think body cavity search *yuck*). Of course, if you're going to New York, I'm sure you could just bring some $$ and pick some up somewhere

The problem is the border crossing, is is reasonable to assume that they will look closely at the passangers. I took a train from Boston to Baltimore recently without any problems, but that is within the U.S. I would suggest to leave the weed at home, punishment for carrying weed across a border to to great and if you have balls you can easily fine weed in New York.

Ya ever seen the movie half baked? Just go ask the Rastas, or find a bodegas or something, but please we see enough people get busted every day we dont need it to be one of our members, it took me 15 minutes in Cape Cod to find a big enough bag to last us all the whole weekend, so im sure in New York you will do fine.
