First of all, I love each and every one of you here. Except for cartman, cartman sucks. but anyway, I just want to tell you all here that I've quit smoking for good.

First I want to thank you all for the support you've given me threw the years. I appreciate it truly and will never forget it. Also, thank you to rick, and panama, and everyone else who plays big roles in the site. You showed me that weed was not what I thought it was, and effectively changed my life for the better.

I also want to assure everyone that I am not a traitor. I love Mary Jane and always will. It's just time we broke up. I hate to sound like I'm spitting propaganda at you all, but weed really makes me stupid. For the time that I'm stoned and then there is a border of about half a day. In this time I can't organize my thoughts, and I can't think about what I need to think about. i am at a point in my life that I need to think. I need to think a lot. So this is goodbye for me and mary jane. however I assure you all that this website has done it's job, incredibly well. It has turned an anti-weed ignorant **** like I was into a pro-weed non-smoker. And I would also like to assure everyone that I will continue to post at this site and nothing will change, just the fact that i smoke.

i dont think i helped you very much but im gonna thank you for helping me and im glad your gonna stay here and post. you help this fight a lot. this shows the govt that people dont smoke still want it legalized.

Just a thought: but, cant u still smoke on weekends?
u dont really need to use ur brain much on weekends (atleast not when school stuff in concerned)

I had abstained for a month and a half. After the first few days of mild withdrawls, I didn't have any problems. My productivity went up a bit, and I forgot fewer important things.

Yesterday, I toked up for the first time since then. I forgot things, and can't get things done as efficiently.

But...

I have decided to solve the problem with a compromise. Instead of giving in to my desire to be high while I do all of the mundane tasks I must do each day, I have decided that it would be better if I set aside time when I can get stoned, and just hang out in my own little world for a few. Sorta like a mental vacation.

If you have said good bye to her forever, that's cool, I'm not trying to change your mind, but I'm not entirely ready to go that far yet. Then next time I toke up, it will be when I have 4 hours to kill and everything else is done.

The day I do give it up for good it will only be to come out of the closet swinging till it is legal. Then I will celebrate!

I understand where you are coming from. About two years ago (few months after I started) I didn't like getting high after a while. I felt almost dirty because I wasn't thinking straight.

But now my reasons for smoking have changed. I don't do it to be relaxed throughout the day, but for one huge intense trip at night 2-3 times a week. I don't have to drive or do anything in that matter, and it is just one big spiritual trip the whole night.

Keep on supporting MJ though man!

I want to say congrats on your decision to take your life into your own hands, and for realizing when the time came to stop and not being afraid to look inside yourself for answers. It takes a lot of courage sometimes to admit to something like that, and even more balls to act on it. You have my respect pothead, and I wish you the very best in your endevours.

As always, you are welcome on the boards, and I look forward to reading what you have discovered, and what you can contribute. I hope you continue to keep up the good fight, because we sorely need people like you to take up the torch to the "straights" and let them know.
