last night i smoked out my cousin (he is 14, almost 15). at first i was reluctant because i didnt even know he smoked marijuana, but after i found out, i asked my younger brother (who is 17) if he thought it was okay for me to smoke out my cousin and he said he didnt have a problem with it (i asked him because i respect his advice and he himself does not smoke, so he seems to always bring a new perspective into a situation such as this one). well, my cousin doesnt smoke often (maybe once a week) and i encouraged him to not smoke too often at his age (whatever too often is...). anyways, he is a smart student and has apparently been smoking for at least for the last 6 months so that factored into my decision too.

he had only smoked joints before, so i bust out with my *Little Bastard* waterpipe (about 7" tall) and start grinding up some new schwag i had gotten. i showed him how to work it (this one has a carb on the back of it and the slider stays attached) and let him share a bowl with me. i asked him if he was high yet and he said "no, not really"...so we loaded another bowl, this time giving him greens and showing him how to really toke on it to get a good solid hit. he handled it very well and only coughed slightly a couple times.

best part is about 5 minutes later he was totally wasted and he was like, "woah man, ill be right back."...{3 minutes later he comes back into my room}...he sits down and says "man im high. ill be back in a little bit" {10 minutes pass}...so i decide to go find him and he is passed out in the family room. i tell my brother about it and he is just cracking up as are all of his friends.

well. what do you guys think? i dont necessarily feel what i did was wrong (it was quiet fun if you ask me), but i want to hear your opinions.

Fourteen is a tad young to be trying marijuana, and he was probably lying about smoking before. It sounds like he got pretty easily toasted. Still, I suppose it was okay. Sometimes kids need release too. If I had to put up with half the things young kids do (egotistical peers, teachers who don't understand, etc.) I'd probably need to smoke up now and then also. Then again, he might have been faking his fainting spell (kids think everything's hysterical.) It was probably a gag. But it's cool if you made yourself a new smokin' buddy. Your sessions with him will be interesting to say the least!

Whats wrong with tokeing up at 14? I started when I was 14 and my friend who introduced me to it was 12 when he started. --Mostly cause his Dad and Stepmom smoke up and so does his Mom and Stepdad.

I think what you did was great, I wish I had a family member to share my love of marijuana with. I think it was also very responsible of you to tell him he shouldn't be smoking a lot at his age. I think it is important that if minors are going to be doing things like this, that they know how to treat it with respect.

Overall, I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should be smoking marijuana, but since our government doesn't feel like regulating it and keeping it out of the hands of children, then I don't feel I have the right to preach what I think is right or wrong.
