| I live in a small town in illinois with a population of 3500, and about only 1000 smoke dope. The only thing I hate is some dealers are distrustworthy and like to LACE MJ with METH . But luckily my dealer and i have been friends for a long time, and he dont do any thing else by MJ.Whats also pretty cool is no matter how many times you get caught with MJ, if its for your own personal use, you only get parole time. |

| Dang guys I feel alone down here in Florida. I live in the capital, Tallahassee and it by far is not the largest city in FL. Smoking weed around here is accpeted pretty well by the general population, especially since half of the 90,000 people here are students. The police seem to love to bother harmless stoners or just young students cruising around. They've definently cracked down on drugs in this area, I'm hearing about drug busts all the time. But at the same time, if you know the city well you can get away with smoking dope while walking down the street, especially in my quiet neighborhood. | |

| I live in Los Angeles, not the actual city of Los Angeles, but the surrounding metro area. Los Angeles the city is a filthy place. Huge multi-billion dollar office buildings loom menacingly over the homeless washing windows below in the snarled traffic, a bucket of piss-water in one hand and a ragged newspaper in another. Los Angeles is a trophy-room for corporations. Those megalithic high-rises serve only to remind the motorists passing through of their tiny insignfigance in comparison to the might of Business. It's such a cess-pool of parking tickets and confusing one-way streets, most Alienated LAliens avoid L.A. entirely. Only the homeless and mega-rich can afford to live or work there. (Monthly parking passes cost up to $200 a month.) Just outside Downtown the creepier aspects of humanity exist. To the west is Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Brentwood, famous as being where OJ Simpson lived. The people that live and work in this area are gleaming robots with cell phones and briefcases . They're laughing, eating, power-walking machines, sipping their stainless steel coffee mugs while driving and eating designer sushi on their lunch breaks. The women have great thighs and fake tits, the men have beards and glassy horny expressions. These people are repulsive in every way, mostly only because you can't see them without wanting to be them. But you know in your heart that they're not really happy and I know that too. So let's move on, there's nothing to see here. To the south of L.A. for miles is the hood. Not just a small hood like every city or community has, but miles and miles of wasteland. Before traveling through the hood you fill up your car with gas. Nobody gets off the freeway here for any reason. Even if your car is on fire, your wife is giving birth and you just have four bran muffins and three cups of coffee, you stay on the freeway. To be fair, I don't know if the danger is exaggerated or not, but the one time I drove across 30 miles of L.A. by streets, people stood up from their porches and stared as I drove by, 40's and generic cigarettes dangling from their fingertips. I was a strange white spectacle there in a strange black town, and my presence was not appreciated. [shrugs] Look at the **** they take from authority here, racial profiling, riots, Rodney King -- I wouldn't want to live around white people if I lived in L.A. either. To the south-east of Los Angeles is the best tacos and cheap burritos in the world. The people in East L.A. are generally nice and welcoming. It's a dirty, poor place, but it's more full of life than anywhere else in the world. And they know the value of a good meal. East L.A. has a good heart. To the north-east of L.A. is Pasadena and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's an old, old town. The streets are clean, the people have lots of money, and ghosts wander the streets at night. I have a friend who swears that there's a community of elves living in Pasadena. He sees them all the time at the whole foods market. The robot to human ratio here is about 4 clones for every 1 person, so there's far too much valet parking here to make anyone feel entirely comfortable. Directly North of L.A. is Hollywood. This isn't the glamorous place of movie premieres, classic bars, and struggling actors that the movies make it out to be... this is a place of SUVs and poverty, crack whores and business women. And the traffic is so terrible that you wish you could leave your car on the side of the road and walk. The other side of the Hollywood mountains, which are more like large hills, lays the valley. The Valley is just like Hollywood and West L.A. but with more porn. My father once called the valley the armpit of the world. I can't disagree with him. People in the Valley drive like morons. It's common to see SUVs hitting curbs and using the shoulder of the freeway as a passing lane while everyone else painfully inches forward through a traffic snarl. I hate SUVs with a passion and one day I'm going to print up bumper stickers like, "I'm allowed to drive this way -- I have more money than you!" or "Why can't the poor live in their own neighborhoods?!" and plaster SUVs up and down Ventura blvd. To the North-North-East, there's a small community called Burbank. It's where Tim Burton grew up. And it's where I live. I love Burbank It's an old ghosty town too, but it's clean. And there's a wonderfully healthy mix of minorities living here, the rent isn't THAT bad, the city has a drive-through Baskin Robbins to make note of, and the Pavilions here has the most incredible fruit and vegetable section that I've ever seen. It's sooo good, in fact that I'm going to take a picture some day and post it saying, "Nyah, nyah. I have a great supermarket." In 23 years, I've lived in 11 cities here in the greater L.A. area and this is my vision of L.A. I skipped the cities the other 4 million Alienated L.Aliens live in, but they're all overrated. In general, I try to stay out of areas where the rich and poor can't live at the same time. Middle-class neighborhoods here always have the best hearts. Peace.

| I live in mississauga, just outside of toronto, population is something like 600,000+ but this place has been exploding with more people so its probably way more by now, new buildings and complexes popping up in a blink of an eye. Mississauga is like the 7th largest city in Canada and its only been around since the 70's. I'd say the law is pretty easy on pot here unless your selling or growing it, if your cought with it your just gona get it taken away and likely given a caution but thats it. As for stuff to do here, theres lots of things to do, cinemas, malls, playdium, plenty of clubs and bars, parks and everything. If anyone else lives in sauga on these boards I'm pretty sure I missed plenty and gime a shout.

| i live in ogden, utah. Utah is the mormon capital of the world and mormonism is the anti-fun religion. Weed, alcohol, premarital sex, pr0n, masturbation, etc. are all "evil incarnate." |
