I'm a sophmore in college, I smoke a 1/4 a week, My GPA for spring2002 was a 3.462. Damn, I missed the Deans List by 0.048, thats aggravating!

Gratz to everyone!

My grade (hey, you asked for it... I'll admit I like to brag): 4.6 Weeee!

However, for those of you who didn't do as well as you'd like, remember that school is a skill. I'm good at school. That doesn't mean I'm smarter than anyone else. Sure, there is a correlation between grades and intelligence, but its importance is greatly overemphasized.

On a side note, about 6 or 7 out of the top ten students at my school smoke.

I have always recieved good grades, even though sometimes I do let some things slip just because I am tired of doing all of the work and putting up with eight hours of classes a day (I know everyone knows exactly what I am talking about). Last semester I let my grades slip to a B average, but I am normally a 3.4 or higher. People that know I smoke are amazed that I can pull off decent grades normally. I think it is hilarious that so many people have misconceptions of us "bad" kids that smoke pot. Everyone has the capability of pulling off good grades, you just have to know how to play the system. Some kids can do it and some can't, regardless of the fact that they may smoke pot or not. Intelligence, in my opinion, is not soley based on whether you can get an A on the trig test. It is also about knowing about life. In my opinion, I think many stoners are very intelligent people. We have learned through much experience about many types of people and have gained wisdom as to how to solve problems, etc., etc.. Enough babbling, just thought I'd share my opinion.

Eh, I'd like to be doing better, I have the potential(uh...dont we all ), but sometimes I'm just pooped and just say to myself '**** it, I've been working my ass off, I gotta chill out'. I only smoked on saturdays and fridays during the second half of the year, and none the first half.
