Well i guess today was the day that it had to happen....i got a job today @ a local grocery store chain, and they require a drug test to be completed before that you come work for them. Well i didnt say anything about the drug test, and acted liek it wouldnt be a problem. About 30 minutes later we got home...and I decided to call my friend Brandon to tell him about the ****in drug test Ive gotta take, i was sayin stuff like "brandon what am i gonna do....i smoked weed all week....im ****ED". Well it turns out my mom was listening to the WHOLE conversation from my door. She called me down to the kitchen and said "youve got 10 seconds to tell me the truth" i was like "what are you talkin about?" Then i decided to come clean with her because she obviously knew i had been smoking pot with my friends...well i came clean with her and told her everything....and how bad a drug test would look if it came out negative for my future (i wanna be an airline pilot LOL) She was amazingly understanding with me...she was calm, cool, and very very receptive to my thoughts...i was completely suprised....i was always used to her being the classical fiery tempered brooklyn born italian woman with the attitude from hell. Well she told me...."yeah youre right...i dont want you to have that on your social security record so go on the internet and find some sort of de-tox pills....ill pay for them" the only catch was that I had to give her everything i wasnt supposed to have (pipes,bongs,weed) so i figured "well its time for me to quit doing this anyways its bad for your health" so i gave her everything....including a half ounce of some pretty high grade weed. And she took them to the lake and threw it all in the water. Well I just oredered the de-tox pills from passyourdrugtest.com and shes willing to help me out with this predicament. The downside to all of this is the sheer embarassment I went through for my actions.....i really realized how foolish that this is and I have much better things to do with my life than to smoke weed all the time. Not that I think there is anything wrong with people that do smoke weed, in fact I think that marijuana should be legalized because I view it as a pretty harmless drug. But my smokin weed is probly gonna be on hold for a while (if not indefinetly)

Just remember:
If you KNOW that your parents KNOW that you are smoking weed and they ever ask you....try your best to come clean....itll save both of you heartaches,fights,and scars to your relationship. Even though it may be the MOST embarassing moment of your life its better than losing one of the closest people in your life by living a lie. So this is goodbye for a while thanx for you listening to me....i just felt like i needed to talk this through with some people.

I feel ALOT better now.

Good Riddance

Exactly, if my parents asked me what I had been doing lately, and asked me to tell them the truth, I would tell them. My parents know my brother smokes, they don't care because he gave them good facts. If you give your parents good facts about smoking weed, then they should be alright. I can pretty much debate anybody for hours about why weed isnt harmful. But if your parents are tight asses, then maybe you should lie.

My folks know I drink, and they're like whatever, but they'd get pissed if they knew I toked. Go figure.

Smoking weed should of course be a personal choice and I personally believe that everyone should be entitled to quit for WHATEVER reason whenever they want without facing ridicule from other smokers....but misconceptions such as the one you hold ("smoking weed is bad for my health anyway") are dangerous and any decision should be based on truth....

Weed is a rather benign substance in terms of health, and was even declared to be the "safest therapuetic substance available" by the American Medical Association...it certainly is not bad for you. I just wanna make sure you don't have the wrong idea about weed...the only negative consequence is what goes on in your lungs, but even that is easily avoided by smoking less, using a vaporizer, or ingesting the weed orally. I'm not trying to preach here and its of course perfectly fine that you want to quit, I just wanna make sure you're familiar with the facts...
