Ok, its definiitilly not my first time by now, but let me tell you about my first time. I went to this crappy church party with my friend, and they wouldnt let me get out of the building! I had a huge j in my pocket but there was nothing i could do. At about 11 i went behing the church with my friend and lit up. I was so buzzed i couldnt feel my feet and i kept forgetting to swallow. I didnt get the munchies for some reason, but i got the pasties. After that we went back to the church to call my dad to pick us up. Me and my friend inside the church kept laughing at eachother!! They kept usking us what was so funny, and we kept saying , THAT! And they were talking and we heard them say lets roll up the magic tree with toilet paper and we started cracking up SOOOO MUCH. THey knew we were potheads by then. My dad picked us up and i kept repeating MY EYES ARE RED BECAUSE THERE WERE STROBE LITES AT THE PARTY!!!!!!! OHHH I HAVE SUCH A BAD HEADACHE! it was so funny cuz we were talking bout the oscars or some **** and i kept repeatin that. oh ye im 13.. peace out! keep smoking!

So young...

Consider not smoking again for like 3 years. 13 is way too young to responsibly make the decision to use a mind altering substance. You've got your formative years coming ahead of you, you shouldn't be stoned through them. Pick it back up when you're 15 or 16.

PS:I don't want to hear about it from all you 13 and 14 year old smokers on this board. YOU'RE TOO YOUNG, you're not gonna change my mind.

If you're only doing it a few times, I really don't have a problem with you doing it. If it becomes an everyday thing, there is a problem. You have high school coming up, which is a very important part of life. Trust me, you want to do as well as you can during these years, it'll make getting into college a lot easier. I know from experience. It wasn't pot that got my life out of whack, it was depression. But, trust me, this is not the easiest time in life and you don't need to be stoned when you're making tough decisions.

After you're a bit older, smoke every day if so see fit to do so. I smoke almost everyday, but with a bit of aging comes the resolve to be able to also get done what I need to do. Not all 13 year olds have that. Sh*t, not all 40 year olds have it, but I'd venture the guess that more in their 40s do than in their teens.

What I'm saying is just be smart about it, and for the LOVE OF GOD do not take pot to school!

But I think that if he persynally beleives that he's mature enough to deal with the responsibility of blazing, he should do what he wants.

Just don't get caught, be very careful, and when you start driving, lay off while you're learning. Always keep it real, peace and good luck.

I dunno. I think i agree with StonedBrad. 13 is way too young.
I think almost anyone who supports the young age smokers WERE (at one point or another) a young age smoker. I personally did not start until i was 17, and it was offered to me way before that.
Before I started, i really had no interest in it, and to be quite honost, im glad because i dont think i was mature enough to deal with it.

I dunno, people may think they're mature enough, but i think a self-rating of maturity isn't really a very good measure at all... that's why the age comes into play.

I hope you don't smoke too much before you're at least 16, im not saying you cant handle it or anything, this is just a prime time for your development, and it would be horrible to muck it up. There's that whole study with the rat embryos and how they caused problems with development during pre-birth... so it's POSSIBLE (im not saying for sure) that it could cause damage during development... anyways....

I wasn't even thinking of physical development. I was talking more of the emotional/social development that happens when you get a small amount of freedom from your folks and can go out and do things on the weekends. Big blunder on my part, thanks for picking up the slack, ikari.

I personally started at 13 or 14 and in retrospect it was too young. I turned out well, but I have strong support from friends and family around me, not everyone does.

Don't start before at least 15. Just my bit of advice on the subject.
