| Ok, so I scored a job at a local fast food place called EVOS thats just opening here as its third location (and i'm on of the initial employees). The idea behind it is that it's healthy food, and it tastes good. Most people would say yeah right health food and good taste, like me, but when i tried some i was really surprised at how damn good it was. anyways, the point is that today was my first day working there, we had a trial run of the resteraunt with people who were invite only (it hasnt actually opened yet, not till tuesday) so i got my good chance to meet my co-workers. what i discovered really made me happy... out of the 24 of us, theres maybe 5 that dont smoke pot! one guy gave me his number, and said he could sell me skunk, blueberry, or fire for $50 an eigth, and I DONT HAVE TO FRONT HIM MONEY!!! (thats rare for me... most people just want your money and then make up some excuse for not getting weed) but god.. this rocks :-) and all i have to do at this place for $6 an hour is take peoples orders and push buttons

| If I had that good of a setup I don't think I'd EVER quit that job. Not until college, at least. Stick around at that place, you won't find that great of a situation elsewhere. ![]()

| wft?! You guys are actually telling him to stay at a fastfood job?! I say get the hell out of there as soon as possible. I worked at Mcdonald's for 6 horrible, grease filled months - it sucked. My advice: look for a job that pays a little more and with conditions not comparable to that of an 18th century English steel mill.

| Dude, he's 15 years old. and well, fast food is pretty much the only place he can work untill he turns 16. let him get used to it, it might turn out to be a fun job and well, being 15 years old he wants a job that he can stay with, get money (doesnt have to be that much) and have fun! see, if he stays there for a full year, then quits and goes to apply for another job, it'll look better on his application because it shows that he is persistant and stays with one job. and as i said before, hes 15, its not like he needs the money to pay bills or anything, when i worked at fast food, it was a lot of fun and i was making like 900$ paychecks. |

| The best job ever for me would be getting paid to test smoke different kind of weed, not like that would ever happen. I too am only 15, so fast food is essentially the only place I can work. I work at a pizza place, its great, get to come in, make urself some pizza, eat it, then work for 7.50$ an hour making pizzas for everyone else. They are quite lenient on the stuff they let us do, if we burn a pizza, we all get to eat it, and get paid to eat it none the less. (unless we burn it on purpose wich nobody does) If a customer has extra pizza left over and doesnt want it, the cooks can eat it. We can talk about pretty much anything, and its family owned so were not as busy or nasty as dominos. Lots of my friends work their, so thats cool. Problem is, no special benefits, no vacation pay, sick pay, just 50% off up to 1 pizza a day, nothing more. Its a good job for now, especially because my favorite stoner munchies is pizza. Also, most other fast food places require you to be 16, and I don't fit that requirement. Raises are rare though, and my last .25$ raise took me 5 months to get. Sad but true. Peace- |

| I think the coolest thing about where you work, besides the good bud, is the fact that it's a healthy food fast food joint. What a great place for a stoner with the munchies to work! Enjoy your work and be a model stoner employee! Good luck to you! ~Dizzy

| A lot has changed since I first started supporting my own cashflow.I could mow yards up and down my block, and make $20 a day.Not bad at $2 a yard, but that was the 60's.Now it's called landscaping, and yards are cut by grown men,and women, with expensive mowers, and the same yard gets charged $25.In 1969,a bagboy made $1.15 per hour, and was supposed to refuse tips and I did,at least once.I haven't kept count, but if my mind could recall,i've had in the neighborhood of 50 different occupations. With each one,I learned .Maybe nothing more than the realization that, that particular job was not for me,still i learned and all of my life's experiences,up to a certain point, lead me to start my own business. In 1994 i resigned myself to the reality that I would be working for the rest of my life,no matter what profession I chose. No retirement plan....social security?a big joke in my country....So doomed to shadow the workforce with my bony little body until I lay down and die. These trials, and tribulations, bringing me to my current status, being, successfully self-employeed,with an excess of 50k annual income, and having my son able to handle the business without me,i've decided to embark on more gamefull employment.I wanted to be in a dance band on the 'Titanic',but ..........a little late for that Through nothing more than my lack of motivation, the job passed me by.Now,the offer has come back around, sweeter, and more tempting than before.Three cruiselines to work from, solo piano room(no band practice) One 1 hour show per day, ports worldwide,90 day sign on's,all food free, duty free nontaxable$800 a week u.s.currency+ tips.(optional time slots for guitar solo, another possible $500 weekly for one more hour of hard labor Now,if I want this miserable job badly enough,it's sitting there.I don't have to be in any big hurry to make up my mind.As i drift back to my college days doing a Pizza Hut thing for peanuts, and jammin at the local pub for free,i ask myself, are these dues paid?OK,then why am I still sitting here?Everything will be the same here if I don't make it.What if I can't stand the food? What if I get sea-sick?What if they don't have internet? What will happen if the world really is flat, and I go floating off the edge, never to be heard from again? What if I think it just sounds too good to be true, and dismiss it as another fantasy that will come and go,destined to be conjured up later in life, as I lay in a bed of self-pity thinking "what could have been?My message to the future workforce of the world is this; 1.If it's the best you are striving for, don't settle for 2nd. 2.The "unattainable" is not. 3.If you think it's too late to make a change,it probably is....for you. 4.Your life is what You make it.If you expect less, you will receive less. 5.What you do here,is all that will be here when you are gone. 6.The more you give, the more you will receive. just my lifelong humble opinion b.suede
