i'm havin a little bit of trouble, this is my situation. i met this girl last summer, and went out for a week, and we were boyfriend girlfriend, she lives far away, so we plan to meet again. well, this girl in my town wants to go to the movies, and you know, do that kind of stuff. this is my question. do you think my type of relationship means that i can't like date other girls during the WHOLE rest of the year when i'm not with her?

If this girl lives far away, you only dated for a week, and it is a summer romance....go to the movies! First of all, you are going to be much happier with a girl who you can actually see more than just a few weeks out of the year. If you are really serious about this long distance girl, call her and talk to her about your relationship. Find out where you stand. See if it is a long time thing.

Live your life and have fun and dont worry about stepping on the toes of some girl who isnt even close to you. It sucks but hey you cant stay alone simply cause you went with a girl in the summer for a week and now shes gone.

Ive tried long distance, it doesnt work the phone bills get too high and the lack of trust slowly creeps its way into things. I mean if you found this girl attractive, who else feels the same way?

long distance relationship + being underage = very low chance of success. Been there, done that, wrote the letters, moved on. Tortured myself a few times before I got the hint.

Now that being said, I'm probably an old fart compared to you, and when I was a teen we had to use this thing called a stamp to send correspondence to one another. So getting your point across took a few days. (once your parents laid the law down about the phone bill)

Now with online chats, email, sending dirty^H^H^H^H^Hnice jpegs to each other, hell, you might get something out of it.

My brother met a girl over the INTERNET and they LIVE TOGETHER now for chrissake. Met her 7-9 years ago and still going. They lived some 500-600 miles apart and so seeing each other was pretty rare. Even after he graduated college and moved to Dallas, (she lived in Austin) they were still 3 hours apart and would commute to see each other every other weekend or so.

OK, just forget everything I said, it's a different ballgame these days. I still think the chances are pretty low, but I'm a married old fart so what do I know?

Nah id say go to the movies with her, and then decide if its worth both of you being loyal and not dating other people or if you just want to be friends and date other people.
