My sister and I want to plan a trip to Europe this summer...for like only 8 or 10 days. Anyways, we had wanted to stay in Amsterdam but we both know that our mom thinks Amsterdam is a dangerous place and there is no way she would knowingly let us go and stay there. So my sister and I decided that we can just stay in a country next to the Netherlands that is only a short train ride away. That way we can stay in possible Germany and take a train ride over to Amsterdam and perhaps stay a night or two there. Anyways, does anyone have any countries to suggest us going. Germany and Belgium seem to be the closest to the netherlands. Also does anyone know of any cities in say Germany that are more of a younger crowd or that have lots of fun things to do...just to ensure me and my sis have a good time. any advice is appreciated
