Default Canadian Forest Fires

...anybody else in the mid-southern states hear about the forest fires in Canada? I can't believe it- I heard nothing about any forest fires til my mom told me yesterday. She asked me if I, at the skate park the other day, noticed how hazy the atmosphere was- you couldn't tell if the sun was the moon. It was pretty weird. Anybody from Canada here...how bad is the fire....? I'd imagine not good

I was up north a few days ago and I remember waking up one day and it looked like mist all over. When the sun started to rise, all you saw was this dark circle rising in the sky. The visibility for the rest of the day was pretty bad, there was a blue haze over everything.

I didn't know what it was either, until I turned the radio on. Apparently there are forest fires in Quebec, and smoke is making it's way to the states.

They're pretty bad in Quebec. I live in Southern Ontario, so I can't really tell you from first-hand experiance what the actual fires are like, but, when the wind was blowing the smoke here , (A province away) it was horribly smokey. It was like a low-laying Fog, but.. with that smokey smell. You could't see anything 200ft from you, it was pretty bad. The winds seem to have shifted now, though, so the smoke is heading somewhere else.

Sunday should have been a beautiful clear sunny day here in the Boston area. However the sky was orange, light was dim and the temp was 10 degrees cooler than it should have been. All do to the smoke........
