does anyone know the exchange rate? is the dollar worth more there? i know if you go to a country where the dollar is worth more, everyone becomes your friend, so-to-speak

I lived in Holland for 7 years, it's fantastic. The people are GREAT. Yeah, you get some great girls out there (the best ones are straight metal-heads), but that doesn't mean they're gonna jump off the curb and blow you if you smile at them. They're decent people. I'm not sure about the Dutch/American thing, I'm in the UK. The weed is fantastic, engineerd to PERFECTION, no matter what you're looking for. If you can, get blazed and go on to a yacht (or whatever) and ride around the canals while blazed. A warning however, driving a boat (!?!) while under the influence is illegal. To get the cheapest plain ticket, look for alternate routes rather than a direct route. I'd find some cheap accomodation when you get there.

Don't just take my word for it because i'm not sure, but I think they are using the Euro in the Netherlands. The exchange rate keeps getting worse for U.S. dollar. When the Euro frist started, you would get 0.80 USD for 1 Euro, now its somewhere near 1/1 exchange. The dollar is not worth more there, near the same, a little less. Anybody here know for sure, KWhite?

Sounds right, 1.50 guilder (former currency) was worth about $1, and I know the euro is more.

i was there during the converstion to euros, it was about 2.2 guilders to the dollar and about 1 euro to 90 cents american.
