| My dad's old job required LOTS of business traveling, and he must've gone on flights to his business Headquarters in Hong Kong 50-somethin odd times...it was kinda ridiculous. Since I didn't get to see him too much, he offered to bring me once, in 6th grade. I guess he used all of those "frequent flyer miles" and bought tickets to Hong Kong, in business class, for myself, my mom, my bro, and my dad. Some places I've been to in Hong Kong- "The Great Bronze Buddha"...I think Buddha's pretty cool, although I've never really looked into it, but they had the big statue and all the burning incense there...and then there were about a dozen little temples spread all around the Buddha, and the Asians would stare, jaw dropped, just admiring the Great Buddha statue. And then I've been to Ocean Park, where they have the World's Longest Escalator...that was really somethin. It took a good 25-30 minutes to reach the top. Hmm...other places? I've wandered around Kowloon...and just to give you an idea of where I stayed, I don't remember the name of the place, but it was placed in the center of Ty Loon or somethin (sorry, I can't remember these names well at all)...and it was basically this big shopping mall, and my hotel room was above it. What I loved most about Hong Kong was all the people...the way that they practically "lived on top of eachother." At about 12 million people in population, it's the second most-densely populated area, next to Mexico City. Of course, when I went to Hong Kong, I was there for only a week...and the jetlack did a number on me, I came back to school and would pass out in class...i actually fell asleep when I went to Ocean Park, on that long escalator, and had my mom wake me at the top. Hmm..this thread is getting rather long, and seeing that I have no sense of organization with it, i'm gonna end it. Have you been to any of these places...yet..? |

| Yeah, it's something cool to look back on, just because not many people ever get the chance to explore other countries. As far as weed, I smoked a little then, but because I was in 6th grade, it wasn't always on my mind...and no, I didn't find any there. With my English dialogue, I'd imagine that'd be pretty tricky... "YOU HAVE WEED?" "no, no, no tu shang yung" "Uhhh, nooo, 'MARIJUANA'" "no, no tay shi hay" lol |
