wow. i just got back from a smoky trip to montreal. you can smoke in public and nobody minds. it was so refreshing. we sparked up the pipe on a park bench and all was well. of course, dealing is still punished and weed is still technically illegal, but the police do not waste time on it.

another thing i noticed about canada was the lack of police patrols. in my city you'd see police all over the place, and if you smoked in the street they'd freakin swarm. i passed 7 cops on the way to my friend's place one day. people seem to be nice and get along well in montreal.

Montreal is pretty cool to smoke in. The cops really don't care. Someone at a bar up there was telling me that the the cops would rather harass the homeless than go after weed smokers (especially Americans since they spend so much money up there)

I was watching Dave Attell on comedy central and he visited Montreal and the people there seemed cool about herb. Seemed like there was to much french in my opinion.

i live in montreal, it rocks, but be aware, not all cops dont care...

there are cool smoke shops like woodstock and Dtox. Or there's a cool place where stoners and hippies gather on sundays and they smoke and drop acid and stuff. email me for any info
