Hey all,
As the paranoid freak I am, I live in an apartment and want to light up. However, it's getting too cold to run off outside somewhere, and I want to be able to light up in the apartment without getting caught.

I need any and every tip possible to make it impossible for other people to realize what's going on in the apartment, and I've searched Yahoo and google for three hours now finding absolutely no help and suggestions. I have a couple ideas, but I want other people's suggestions in case there's better ideas out there that I haven't come across.

Please help me!

There is really no need to be paranoid in an apartment, but if you are that terrified of getting caught, seal off any doors with a towel, or if you are extremely worried, duct tape is your friend. It is MUCH safer to toke inside your own apartment than to go outside.

While it'd be great if that was enough, I've been in more than one apartment where I approached it to hook up with my buddies and it reeked from 5 feet away - very obvious, even though they had it well toweled and even used lysol or something around the doorto try and clear up the smell.

Insense also helps mask a little, but even that isn't a cure-all - even when combined with toweling.

Any more hints?

Try running a search in the Security forum....there are MANY threads on this issue. Look into air purifier/Ionizers .....some people use products that take care of pet odors.....You could simply get a purifier/ionizer and exhale into the machine.......combine methods and you should be safe...Good luck

Don't smoke near your front door! Smoke inside a bedroom or somewhere nowhere near your front door. Trust me, you shouldnt be able to notice the smell from the outside if you combine that with the other precautions that you already know

Try this if you are so paranoid about it.

Open a window or three...point a fan blowing out the window.

If you have a humidifier or air purifier thing turn it on.


Spray the top sides and bottom of your front door with cologne or something.


Get a toilet paper cardboard tube, stuff the end with downy sheets, when you smoke exhale the smoke into the downy sheets and the smoke comes out smelling laundry fresh.

close your a/c vents and what not.

burn incense.

2 sticks of incense is what I do and I dont live in an apartment.

Smoke in the bathroom, and if your really parnoid turn on the shower and steam up the bathroom while you smoke. I'm sure your bathroom has a fan so turn that on and blow the smoke up into the fan. And if your still parnoid, do the dryer sheets and toliet paper roll and blow into that while it is pointed at the fan. I do not think you should be that worried though, I have smoked in many apartments.

I don't live in an apartment, but my parents room is right beside mine, so I'm sure my method would work for you as well.

You can cross joints off the list, unless you want it to reek.

I just smoke a few bowls, and I make sure I hit the whole bowl in one hoot ( just don't pack it tight ) and then I keep the smoke in my lungs until I can exhale and no smoke comes out. Usually you just blow out a little bit. Then before I leave, I just open the window a little bit, and when I come back all I can smell is my dirty clothes on the floor. LOL
