| I really want to plan a trip to amsterdam with my friends but telling my parents where i'm going would result in me not being able to go, my parents have this cool thing called timeshare, i'm sure youve heard of it, you get mad deals on places to stay and air-fare. Well I can't use this unless I tell them. Can anyone think of how I can tell them I'm going one place, maybe near Amsterdam. Or maybe I should just go to somewhere in Canada, anyone know a good place?

| Just because they have a timeshare doesn't mean you can go anywhere you want. It means they pay money ( usually through a company ) and they get to pick 1 or 2 weeks out of the year to go on vacation to the condo they are paying for. It's like a whole bunch of people pitching in to buy a house, except you can only live there for a week or two each year. Unless your parents are extremely loaded and have more than one timeshare ( these are 7000$+ usually ) - I don't see how you can choose to go anywhere you want. And - as for your question - I think that there is no way around the whole Amsterdamn thing. If your parents know weed is legal there - and they know you smoke weed - they'll put two and two together. Just come up with a whole bunch of other reasons you want to go there. Tourism..friends...etc.. |

| With most timeshares your automatically enrolled in a timeshare sharing program, that allows you to swap with other people in the program. This may allow him to go. But typically these programs are for the US only so i dont know. Timeshares are a huge waste of money. If you do the math you can rent a nice hotel room for a week or 2 for the same amount you have to pay in maint. fees every year. THats not even factoring the initial cost. Their one huge scam in my book. |

| ^^^ yeah so they may seem like a huge waste of money...but at least for me, the places i stay in are hella, hella nice. a three floor condo with a hottub and free internet seems worth it to me...

| If your going for a smoking trip, not Canada. Why? Sure its cheap and possession is fairly low priority for some police, but its still illegal. Though in about a year if things go properly we will have decriminalized, Cauchon promised to propose it 4 monthes into the new years. Sure in sure places of the country you can grow bud without much fear of police (Remote places and small towns) but its still illegal. If you want to take a smoketrip, think about Hempfest in Seattle or things like that. Im gunna try to make it to Hempfest next year, the only problem is I need a ride down ![]()
