Hurricane Isabel looks like it's aiming right for us Carolinians. When Hurricane Floyd hit in '99, the winds picked up a huge pine tree in our front yard & put it thru our roof like a javelin! Same thing with Fran, tree on roof (not as bad as Floyd), but thank goodness for home-owners ins. People that own their home & don't bother with home-owners ins. are idiots! It is well worth the peace of mind paying the premiums each year (broke down quarterly), and after being hit by 2 hurricanes, wouldn't have it any other way. By the way, our insurance mailed me a check for all repairs within 1 week...excellent service!
