So this Christmas, instead of going back home like usual... or staying here in Austin; I decided to cruise over to New Orleans to check out the scene there. Pretty wild, on Christmas eve-eve it was still rockin! A lot of people out at night, bars open forever - drinking on the street. It was a rockin vacation! We stayed @ the Omni Royal... which is a really nice hotel in the heart of the French Quarters. I had a half ounce of KILLER nugs, that we sampled all week long. I would suggest this as a trip option for any stoner, however the police are present and visible. A friend of mine got arrested (On a different occasion) for spitting on the sidewalk. So, you may want to be on your best behavior. The jazz music is awesome, and you can find a club pretty much ANYWHERE. Everything from rap to rasta to jazz to zydeco. Anyway, here's a pic of me on Bourbon. Also, the city is FAIRLY pet friendly. There was a pet bakery, Three Dog Bakery... and a park less than 3 blocks away. I got away w/o one incident in the hotel room. Hehehe.
