Lightbulb Solution

well i got busted is school with a $70 4" glass hand pipe.... the way i see it you have two options.......
1) You can be stupid and keep failing the tests and lose your parent's trust in you forever. They will most likely label you as a drug addict if you keep failing, and probably make you take counseling or something.
2) or you can be smart and do what i did, and purchase the urinator. It does the pissing so you dont have to and doesnt fail. Ive used it once and let me tell you, it feels really good to have the peace of mind of knowing that you can take a test stoned and pass. You can tell your parents that you just "experimented" and they will most likely stop testing you all together after you pass a couple times. It cost like $150, but it is damm well worth it! go to: http://www.urinator.com . Be smart, dont fail, and enjoy being stoned without having to worry about your piss;.

i agree with that, but on the same level i think i deserve respect in return from my mom, enough respect that she could understand that if i want to smoke weed, its my decision and i should be able to, as long as its not causing me harm

geez, some of you guys can be so condescending sometimes.

Quote:
Calico You're a idiot and you give pot-heads a bad name. Its people like you who are keeping the 'legalization of Marijuana' from happening.
i dont think you give potheads a bad name, i think your parents do as well as perpetuating the idea that potheads are criminals or wrongdoers. i dont see the point in random drug tests by parents, just shows that they dont know how to talk to their kids, althought calico did speak some knowledge in that it would be best to talk to them/one of them/ the most lenient. This is only because if you are like me, you will see that smoking herb will not ruin your life, however i dont know how responsible you are with your primary focus (school/work), so i cant totally side with you. if you give them what they want, probably good grades, then your priviledge of smoking the good greens wont be in so much jeopardy. i just turned 18, im a senior in high school, and contrary to semi-popular belief, weed is a part of life, a big part. all in all, you have to get your act straight, or cut the herb all together, until either you and your rents are at some sort of agreement, or until you see fit to that you can handle herb smoking and going to school and making your grades at the same time.

hemperson, i feel you on that, that is the same exact way i think, although i have a very healthy respectful relationship with my rents (my mom, anyway) and i have seen with my friends that not all parents look at things on a "level ground" when it comes to their kids..

random drug tests?? if youre gonna try and be slick (please, be very slick if youre gonna try and sneak) keep a friend's frozen clean piss for those times.

this may be a time to check your herb consumption... do u smoke often? if you do then this may be a time to "cut down", just the act of making an effort to "cut down" let you put other things into perspective that you might have been neglecting..

youre 16.. just dont **** up, thats all u gotta do. puff your cheeba.

"i agree with that, but on the same level i think i deserve respect in return from my mom"

I understand you want respect, believe me. I went through the same thing with my parents, and I chose the '**** you, you dont run my life' path - and it didn't turn out well.

"enough respect that she could understand that if i want to smoke weed, its my decision"

Your living in her house, your eating her food, and wearing her clothes. Your sixteen years old - it is her decision. You know why its her decision? Because you're a MINOR. If you get busted with Marijuana, it comes down on her. The fines? SHE has to pay them. Now dont get me wrong, I'm not calling you immature. For the simple fact that you actually posted here ASKING for information - shows me that you are mature for your age. Ninety percent of other teenagers would be like '**** that yo! Dont be listening to your parents! THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY TALKING BOUT!'

Bull****. Listen to your parents. My advice is, talk to them. They may be more understanding then you think. My mom was.

"as long as its not causing me harm"

Weed does cause harm to you. I don't want to hear anyone say weed is safe - and I'm sure that www.marijuana.com is not trying to tell people its safe. Do I believe that Marijuana is safer and less harmful then Alcohol? Hell yeah. But its not safe. It causes lung damage, it causes memory loss - and it causes lack of motivation, and can even make you lazy. (This is when you smoke three to four times a week) I don't know how your weed habits are, and how often you smoke. Either way, it is less harmful then doing other drugs - but you can't say it wont effect your life. Because it does.

Thats just my opinion, I'm not *****ing at anyone.

and ugh, Mag0er - I have no idea what you're talking about..

Calico, I toke EVERY DAY, and still do fine...'A' honor roll, accepted to college (on scholarship, no less), all that good stuff. Weed is safe. Period. All it causes is a little lung damage.

Anyway...I have a friend who was in much the same position you're in. Now he's an alcoholic. I'd suggest getting the urinator.

While respect for your parents is important, the sad truth is they don't understand you, they don't understand your decisions and they don't understand your life. Try to give them respect, but also make your own decisions.

Let me add one more point to this.

I heard in the news, just today, that the parents of a 16 year old boy had hosted a party where alcohol was served, with the parents consent.

Charges were filed against the parents, and they have received a sentence of 9 years (I think that was the length of incarceration).

My point is, your parents are "on the hook" regarding your behavior. It's thrust upon them even if they agree with your position, as was in this kids case. His parents allowed the alcohol, which I'm sure made that 16 year old happy. Now this 16 year old kid will have to be moved into another home, under someone else's very critical observation. I doubt he's happy now.

If the parent's had not known of the alcohol, they would still have been in serious trouble for not having supervised. Only if the kids had held the party out of the house would the parents have been off the hook.

I've always wondered why most highschoolers who insist upon smoking weed while attending school aren't as concerned about voting before they graduate.... Rebel against that restriction, at least it will do some good for legalization.
