One of my teachers in high school was always talking about his "claim to fame" (he went to school, played baseball, and was a friend of James Dean). I was just wondering if anyone else had any "claims to fame". I got a good one...

Zach Randolph (Portland Trailblazers)
I went to school with Zach even though he was a couple years younger than me. We always use to gather at my house when we were kids to play basketball. Zach was little back then, but he always had the shot. He use to say, at like 10 years old, "I'm the 'bestest' around here. I'm gonna play in the NBA some day." Of course, we all said that back then, and we all thought Zach was just too short. Fast-forward. Zach got [b]BIG[b]! He was the star on the high school basketball team (a little research here would tell you where I am from, and I don't live but 20 miles from there now) and went on to Michigan State. Left after freshman year to play ball with Scottie Pippen... wow...

Anyways that's my claim to fame. I grew up with, and am still friends with the "scrawny kid, Zach". It's a small world.

So let's here those "claims to fame"...

i don't think i have any claims to fame. i was on t.v. in the background of a news broadcast in vegas once, probably the most coverage i've gotten. i also saw michael jordan playing poker in vegas once at ballys, i was pretty close. but anyways, there they are. i'm on t.v., i'm on t.v.

definitely no claim to fame here.. the closest thing i've got is that melissa joan hart was born and lived around the corner from me. her parents still own the house and i hear she still visits regularly

yeah, thats a good one, from the Maxim shoot, i think. but MJH has got to be in the top 3 all-around most beautiful women, in my opinion...but then again, i like the girl-next-door chicks, not the supermodel types who may have a "perfect" body but a fugly face...and lets not EVEN go into personality...but yeah, i'd definitely remove one of my own testicles using nothing but an Exacto knife, a rubber band, and a bottle of whiskey in order to have a night with her...

I am distantly related to the original Jethro from the Beverly Hillbillies. A friend of mine is a direct cousin of David Schwimmer from Friends and says he's a real asshole (of course, what can you expect from a guy that demands $1,000,000 every week for acting [poorly] like an idiot.......God, how I hate that show).... oh yeah and my girlfriend's dad's third grade teacher was Steve Martin, back when Steve was a poor teacher in California that did stand-up on the weekends. I know most of those aren't MY claims to fame, but they are pretty interesting nonetheless.
