A lot of old posters are gone now, and that really bites. I miss reading firedoob's funny stories or Greenman's sage advice. Where's bo-battie? Where's RIP Van Morrisan? Even bailey and KWC WhiteBoy appear to have vanished.

This board has been bombarded with new faces, which is all well and good, but it's a different scene now. I mean, I've seen posters who write about the first time they smoked a week ago yet have 400+ posts. Damn, I've been here for almost three years and barely broke the 250 mark!

Anybody else miss the old posters from '00 and '01? I know I do.

If you go to the bottom of each board, and hit 'last' as in 'last page', (make sure you have the other thing set as 'in the beginning' you can read the posts from just after the crash in '01.

I did that a few times and I was surprised at how many people from that era have left. Many of them had hundreds of posts, some over a thousand. And they are mostly all gone. Except for Greenman and Panama, pretty much, and of course some of the mods.

all the "old members" here have a registration date of october 2002. thats not too old, only about 8 months.

not that many 00 - 01 people left, oh well.

I feel that there are still those from '02 (ahem ), june especially who continue to positively contribute around here. I'm sure the "old posters" complained about how the posters from before 'the Crash' occured. I read somewhere that the boards' birthdate dates back to '95 or '96, even. As is the cyclic nature of life, things and people rotate, and perhaps we are feeling that more than ever right now with the rapid decrease in average age of posters now, and that turns people away.

Those that are turned away, are those who are being missed right now. Maybe vaya is next....
