You're missing the point. I said, it's okay if I'm shopping for sex toys. God knows I don't travel without B.O.B.! But why do the shops combine the two! Like if you smoke that you are also in to extreme sex. Which just simply isn't true of most smokers I know.

In the southeast, they don't sell sex toys in the headshops. I think it would be a good idea though since you have to be 18 to purchase a pipe or a sex toy.

The primary headshop I go to in CA doesn't offer any adult sex toys. It only sells damn cool spiritual items, and of course...pipes. =)

The mRs and I were discussing the VERY same thing the other night, passing by the local 'adult toy store and paraphernalia emporium'!

Maybe it's the "underground" aspect! It's something some do in the "privacy of their own homes"...and not out in the open for all to see!

I've been in our local 'shop' once to see their pipe selection and pick up a grow magazine...and even asked the mRs if she wanted to come in! She declined.

Yeah...IMO it really isn't fair for some who'd rather NOT, to have to walk up rickety steps (it's like that with THIS one! ) into a world like that, just to get the latest weed mag or new pipe! But until it's legal to smoke anywhere (something I doubt we'll see here in the US anytime soon)...we'll probably have to deal with that aspect of it.

think of the store name, Uptown Novelties, its a novelties store. some novelties are little kid things, and some are adult, like sex toys. although its somewhat unusual to sell pipes there, its an adult store, so they try to bring in the most customers.

i haven't been in that store, i live in the same area, but the front glass isn't see-through, so i kind of figured the would sell those novelties too

also, my cousin owns and runs a sex shop with a head shop in it. i've stocked the items a couple of times. its really funny to see HOW MANY sex toys there are out there.

hmmm, maybe the people in there are ashamed to see bongs and pipes in there nice familly porn store

they have weed mags at most books-a-million. although they don't sell nice glass bongs

I don't see anything wrong with it but they should put all the adult stuff in a closed door with a sign that say xxx so it wont offend people that find that kind off stuff offensive.

That would be a great idea. Then I am not faced with it as soon as I walk in the door. It's just embarasing to me.

the one down here in south texas have adult toys also but there seperated behind a bead curtain in a door way so its smoking stuff on oneside and on the other the toys
