What are some great places in the bahamas to check out?

Also, how is the availability down there/risk of getting busted?

Paradise island is a great place to check out, long beaches and the hotel is awsome, it is worth checking out for sure. One thing that I didnt like about the Bahamas was the cost. Bottle of water was $5 usd, breakfast for me and the wife (eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, coffee) $40 usd. Otherwise the Bahamas was great. Try to do the dolphin thing. The best way to get around is via moped, and make sure they turn on the meter in the taxi at the airport or they will charge you double what the actual cost is, if they give you a problem over that them tell them you will find another taxi/ride and they will give in real quick.

As for going to look for "stuff" i would watch it, bahamas has a very high crime rate for its size and there are really only 2 classes of people living there, really rich or really poor. I saw 2 boat owners go at it just because one of the guys tried to sell tickets for his boat in the same area. If you hit the beach on paradise and look like a smoker, someone will come to you, just dont sneak into a alley to do the deal.

Be VERY cautious about buying pot there. It's very likely someone will try to rip you off either by taking your money of giving you $hit that ain't pot. You can get some decent stuff there but make sure you see it before handing over the cash. They don't have anything like our good indoor grown hydro. Try to bargain with them as the Bahamians like to bargain with pretty much everything.

A good place to stay would be at an all-inclusive resort so you don't have to worry about buying food and liquor. The Breezes on Nassau is pretty cool. They have lots of stuff to do at the hotel which is included in the price- snorkeling, swinging on a high-wire, lots of liquor. I would still eat at a few local restruants though to get some real local food. Near The Breezes is the Crystal Palace Marriot which has a decent Casino. The casino at Atlantis on nearby Paradise Island is nicer, but everything is pretty pricey there.

Try to rent a jet ski and roam around near the beach. The water's so clear it's fun to cruise over it in a JetSki. BTW: bargain with the Jetski guys. A friend and I got 1 hour for $55 when a 1/2 hour would have cost $50.

Dude I went to Nasau in july on this cruize. Just take the weed with you if you are going on a cruize becuase it would suck to have to go through that sober! I went on Carnival in FLorida and just took a quarter with me. I went to the DOmminican Republic with no problem and the Virgin Islands. I even got some back into the U.S. through customs. It was only like three bowls but I still did it. Just hide it in your a-hole! Just kidding it isn't hard.
