My night was really, really odd, and I think I almost got busted, or will be soon. Anyway, I'm a freshman in college, and living in the dorms.

I got back from taking a test around 8:30 tonight. As I'm walking through the commons to my building, a guy who lives across the hall from me walks up to me. He says that the cops are on our floor, and that some people got busted for weed. I know several people who live on my floor smoke daily, so I figured that something like this was bound to happen, and don't really take it too seriously. As I'm walking to my building, I notice a few cop cars there. When I get to my room, I sit down and play around on the computer for an hour or so. Than I look out the window, and there are no cop cars, so I figure they busted whoever they busted and left.

I than lit some incense, and started on a bowl. Now, I smoke in my room 2-3 times a day, and have never, ever had any trouble. I use really strong incense and a fan, so there's no smell, even when I'm smoking. However, I look like a stoner, and due to an unfortunate incident when the RA's girlfriend asked about a '420' pin on my backpack, everyone knows I smoke (just not in my room).

Anyway, so maybe 2 hits in, the phone rings. Here's the conversation.

Chick: "Hey, is this D? (D is another 'known' stoner who lives across the hall)"
Me: Uh, no one named that lives here.
Chick: I mean, is this E? (that's me...)
Me: Yup, who's this?
Chick: This is B, I live down the hall from you (don't know her), I just wanted to let you know that the cops are back.
Me: Uh, ok?
Chick: You know those girls got busted for weed, right? I'm not sure what they're doing now, but I just though I'd warn you.
Me: Uh...yea. I got to go. Thanks for the warning.

I than proceed to gather up my weed, and leave for awhile to go to the gas station, which I needed to do anyway. On the way, I stash my weed someplace safe. I just got back, and walked right past the cops as they were pulling out of the parking lot. A cop looked at me closely, but didn't do anything.

I'm starting to get a little nervous here. For one, I have no idea who this girl who called me is. This is strange because I don't hand out my phone number or anything, so the only way she could have gotten it is if she asked the RA for my last name, than looked me up. However, as she obviously doesn't know me, someone must have told her I smoked and to call me (possibly the RA?). The second thing here that really bothers me is that the girl accidentally called me 'D', meaning she was probably calling both of us to give us the same warning.

Anyone have any insights here? I'm getting really paranoid, especially because I've made a few transactions with the girls who got busted, meaning I'd be high on the list of people they'd name if they decide to narc.

Lay low and play it safe, and I mean really safe over the next week or so. If your connected tho those girls who were busted you might wana change you ways a bit if you were the dealer to them. My advice, talk to them as soon as you can, if they said they did say somthing get all your **** out of there NOW. If they say they didnt, try and find out if they are telling the truth, they might just be setting you up to save their own asses.

Either way, get your **** out of there if you can and stash it some place safe. Dont stop lighting up the insense though, just go about as if everything ie normal sans the weed. There is no such thing as being too parinoid after somthing like that happens, so make sure you play it really safe for now.

The only thing to worry about, really, is the chicks you've sold to...if the cops scare them enough, you know they'll drop a dime on your ass immediately! That's why---->get all your weed out of that room!! Any questions from the cops, play dumb [that was my easiest thing] & always "I don't know what you're talking about!" to the heat.

Relax & don't do any 'distributing' for the time being...then when everything cools down, return to what you consider normal!

Man that is totally bunk! Kinda weird that someone called you to let you know the cops were on the way back...any clue who this chick is? Maybe she is like your stoner guardian angel

I would definitely play it safe for a bit though. At least keep the weed smoking off campus as well as anything to do with weed in your room. College seems to be a sketchy place when you dorm there. And see, my buddies razz me because i refuse to smoke in my friends dorms tsk tsk tsk.

Peace Seeker: It's not the cops, they never make me paranoid, because I've always figured they don't care or notice me. What I'm getting nervous about is that phone call, as I'm guessing it wasn't a helpful call at all, but rather an attempt to see if I have weed.

I kinda know what you're going through. I started smoking in my dorm room about a month ago, but then one morning I was heading to my room, and a friend of mine (who is an RA upstairs) was there and she was like,

"Hey, what's up? There was a report of someone smoking pot in the building last night..."

I said, "Really? Wow." Trying to feign ignorance.

And she goes, "Yeah, and she said his name was-" and she said my name. I was like "OH crap!"

But she told me that she told the 'informer' that "The guy I know doesn't smoke pot, I don't even think he drinks," Little does she know, but they just filed an information report and it wasn't checked.

Anyway, I moved my stuff to a friend's off-campus apartment (which has been a mistake b/c I can never get ahold of him, but that's another story), and now I *never* smoke in my room. If you have a car on campus, I'd suggest taking a little ride and smoking there. That's what I do now.
