I'm sure you realize I'm joking...[not]...yeah, I'm kidding. Never force anyone to do anything against their will, but I know you're not implying that...you just want to know if encouraging them to try it will make you out to be "pusher-man"...am I close?

No it won't, you're not doing anything wrong trying to convince them it's not all what they think...right now the only thing they have to base it on is what they've been taught, nothing to compare the information to. Offer to smoke them up just for a comparison test, so they'll have a basis for their apprehension...tell them they don't have to continue with anything, just try it once & make up your own mind about it, instead of just listening to 1 side of it. Make sure you let them smoke the very best for their test, as that might just tip the scale, no pun intended...well, maybe intended.

when i was in that dare **** i wasnt smoking, so it was really the only source of information i had, and although i did not trust it, i did not have the other side of the story.

i guess that your friend only has seen one side of the story. you should take him to a place where people are planning to smoke (e.g a sleepover... thats how i got started) when they do start smoking, your friend will have to make the desicion of whether to smoke or not. it helps to verbally tell him that there is no pressure on him, and that you will respect him the same whether he smokes or not.

i think there are more than one ways to view the weed world, and your freind needs to see both, and then they can decide for themselves. peer pressure is wrong, and you should tell your friend that before you let him decide

You're just justifying all those crappy DARE videos where the kid, lets say jimmy, asks the other one, let's say bobby, to smoke weed, but good little chrisian bobby remembers DARE and mommy and god and says no. Then jimmy goes off and gets in a horrible bike accident cause he's so high, they say and kills 45 innocent gawkers. BUT That's all it is to you, though, man - a statistic! What is it to you if 45 people die! Then 45 more! But you don't care, man - no not you; you got your kicks and that's all that matters - to you...

Little bobby is spinning in his grave right about now...
