| Have lived down there for quite a while. Go to news cafe for lunch and gossip, Collins/Washington ave for clubbing and down the keys for fishing or for a trip with your gf. Wednesdays n Thursdays are good nights to go out. Ask a cool looking local on where to go. Dress properly (funky). Miami used to be alot of fun in the early 90's. It has a certain multinational "air". Miami is more latin american than anything else. Go to little havana, coconut grove, ft lauderdale strip, pompano strip joints, beach in boca raton, score in deerfield beach pier (thta used to be a good scoring point) and just go around. Dont know how it is now but i m sure its better than being in a forgotten place in the middle of nowhere. Start going to beaches where the locals go and u ll be able to make new friends etc. good luck
