Cool Just wanna let you all know....

Well I'm just here to tell a story

(If you don't wanna listen to a stoner leave now)

So I live in residence at a large (over 24 000 people) university in Canada, and when I got here I realized with the combination of campus police (herby to be refered to as 2.5's) and our DON's (like RA's in the states) it would be very hard to find a quiet spot to sit with my buddies and smoke a J or two.

-side-
Back home I would sit on my back porch and smoke or at most walk to the nearby park (less than 5 min)

I realized it wont be that simple up here...

The solution.... The construction of an outdoor "hut"

We have a few evergreen (christmas) trees out back. So we grabbed a picknic table from the front, took it round back and set it inthe group of trees.

This was the begining.....

Not to boar with the details but this is now a work in progress. Now whenever we have a break from exams and such, we pile out back and do a little work..

This is out place as of now.

The picknic table is now under one of the trees (that we sawed off the bottom brances of. We tied down some of the upper brances to cover the space around up and also tied some brances we cut off of other sourounding trees to the tree and tied them on. there are 3 large tarps covering the top (to keep rain and snow out) as well as plywood around the whole sides (to keep the wind out) With only a small opening on the side for entering and exiting.

Now u might think that this is pretty obvious, but it is actually almost imposible to tell that any thing is differenty.. Espically at night.

-side-

We have actually had other people come and stand and smoke no more then 3 meters from us and not notice us at all...

Soon winter will be here and snow will cover the tree making a very nice shelter... and hopefully a bit of a hotbox. We plan on brining out a small gas powered heater and candels.

Let me know what you think of the spot and if you have any suggestions to improve it!

(also I would like to hear of any spots that any of you have constructed! I allways like to try new **** out!)

Awesome. And about the fact that if we don't want to listen to a stoner we should leave.... Well welcome to Marijuana dot com. I'm surprised you haven't heard yet, we're all pretty much stoners around here.

I one time constructed the sickest lean-tu or however its spelt. I got a ton of live branches, bent them (not broken) into U shapes, and then arranged them in such a way that it was like a hut shape. I then proceeded to pile leaves onto it. From the outside, it looked like a leaf pile where the mexicans dump the leaves into the forest that they rake. I could stand up in it too, cause I dug it deep. It was SIIICK. In the winter, you could sit in there nude and be hot as a porn star, it was so insulated.

There's nothing like a midwinter invisible picnic. Keep a sharp eye out for the grounds crew.

Sounds like a great place to lose a bit of study stress.

See it's not yet, It is ture the police don't really care anymore, but university police can still fine you and kick you outta school (worst case) So it's always good to be careful

Dude, you're at Waterloo, right?

You're out in the back, building a fircken frozen bush-man hut when you could be searching for the infamous service tunnels that run all over campus underground!!

Hopefully you've heard of these, if not, give me a shout and I'll give you some inside info...
