Well, it's over

Just had court today. Got sentenced to probation, 40 hours of community service, and a drug education class. Got a deferred judgement, though, so no record. The alternative was a short jail sentence, a small fine, a 6 month driver's liscense suspension and a criminal record. Jail and a fine don't bother me too much, but the suspension and the record would be a huge pain in the ass, far more so than quitting weed for a few months and finding someone to fake my community service for me.

Court sucked. The judge gave me a lecture on how smoking weed isn't a victimless crime, because the weed could have come from violent criminals, and could have passed through the hands of a ten year old. Took alot of effort not to shout at the guy that even if what he was saying was true, this is a direct result OF THE FACT THAT POT IS ILLEGAL. The only good thing is that when I called the probation office I was assigned to, their first available meeting was no less than three weeks from today! Since I haven't smoked for a few weeks anyway, that's plenty of time to clean out. Than I'll just tell them that weed is the devil and I haven't touched it since I got arrested, and I could be off probation in as little as two months.

Overall, a huge pain in the ass. But if I didn't have nice parents willing to help out, it could have been alot worse.

Man, it sounds like you didn't make out too bad afterall. Community Service is a joke, at least it was whenever I had it. I was mandated 8 hours when I was 11 for stealing a cell phone, heh. All I did was sit at a recycling plant and seperate plastic. Good thing you got away without a record. How badly will this reflect on school as opposed to the alternative?

If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

man dont worry my bro got arrested a while back for a DUI (even though he wasnt high, just cause his car smells cause he always hotboxes it) and possesion and he got the charges dropped to disturbing the peace and paid a small fine plus the fee for his car beeing impounded. if its ur first offense then ull get off easy.
