I'm out of the college scene now and I lost all my connections. I'd like to meet up with some people who are cool, chill and mature and in their mid 20s to whatever. I don't know anyone who smokes right now and I don't want to just bring up MJ related topics because it is just not smart to do IMO. I also don't really want to hang around the college crowd because my wild days are pretty much over...

I've been dry for weeks, depressed and stressed out in the meantime. Any suggestions for something to do to keep me busy?

Hey dude, I live about an hour and a half north of you. Although I'm not taking any new friends on who live more than an hour away...

I moved to Massachusetts from Tucson and I KNOW how hard it seems to make new friends in this area. Here's some ideas for making new friends in the northeast which coming from the southwest seems very difficult....

1) Take a weekend job at a restaurant. There is more than one reason to have a job. Money is not the only motivation. You can make new friends and possibly get some connections to the good stuff.

2) You have some cool stuff around you. I know it's cliche but Rhode Island strip clubs are the stuff of legend... just limit the money you go in with and you should be fine. I don't think that you should try to make friends at the strip clubs but perhaps you could invite a new aquaintance... it's just a thought anyways.

3) Join a gym or engage in another physical activity. I met my best friend in massachusetts at the gym. I've known other guys who made tons of their friends through things like basketball leagues. You should be able to find someone who likes to blaze in these groups.

I guess I'm just going to have to go back to Campus and make friends. Its going to be painful with people transfering, moving away, getting kicked out... etc.

Like my childhood all over again. *sigh*
