| Although I've read Jack Herer's book and agree with him in general, that "$100,000 challenge to prove us wrong" that he's had on his Web site for years is just silly. "No one has taken the $100,000 challenge," he boasts. Well, of course no one has taken it. If I understand the "challenge" correctly, in order to win the $100,000, one would have to compose an essay that would effectively counter all the claims in the long-winded 18 paragraph text under that headline. But he doesn't specifically define what "prove us wrong" means. Does it mean "convince me that I'm wrong?" Two people could debate any issue by throwing data and information back and forth at each other forever, without either one ever really "convincing" the other that they're "wrong." A more realistic "challenge to prove me wrong" would involve something to the effect of gathering an audience of an agreed-upon "jury" of people who are gathered in such a way as to insure that it's not a slanted selection of pre-opinionated people. That audience would then have to either read, listen to, or watch on video a debate between Jack Herer and his "challenger," and at the end, the members of the audience would vote on who won the debate, or whose arguments were most convincing to them. If a certain agreed-upon majority votes agaist Jack Herer, then the challenger would get the 100,000 dollars. But even as with election-year debates and political elections, even if a "winner" were declared officially in the above manner, those on the losing side would still continue to insist that it didn't prove anything.

| The challenger could prove Jack Herer wrong by presenting sufficient factual evidence as to disprove his claim. I think the point is that whatever he said is allready scientifically supported, and theifore he can safely offer his 100k prize to boost peoples confidence in what he claims. |

| Cool idea. Nice way to get attention and challenge the prohibitionistic propaganda, probably not to be taken too literally, you'd need a court ruling to prove he's wrong, and no prohibitionist will like that exposure, and lost case. I like that he has half of his book "The Emperor wears no clothes" published online, esp. chapter 11 "THE (HEMP) WAR OF 1812, NAPOLEON & RUSSIA" an eye-opener.... Mr Herer even has a strain of cannabis named after him, a cup winning breed, I'll try to attach an image.....
