Well it is, sorta. My friend and I were emailing back and forth about buying some weed of someone and getting stoned last weekend. We didn't end up getting any weed or getting stoned because stuff kept coming up, but anyways, he has a non webbased email account and uses Microsoft Outlook Express and transfered his harddrive onto his brothers computer to swap some files around, anyways he left it on there or something and his mom went onto the computer and was able to read all the message stored in his inbox without a password. So anyways she printed out 2 emails and knows about our plans..she hasn't gotten angry or really done anything to him, but she did say she was going to call my mom and let her know what was going on. So I am not looking forward to that but I'm not worried or anything, I am kind of looking forward to it actually.
Why you say? Well I got busted a couple years ago in grade 9 and that was unpleasant and everything. My parents don't think I smoke anymore, but I do, not as often as I would like to though. My mom is ok with me drinking, as long as I don't drive, which is reasonable and fair. However I don't drink. And she is against me smoking, so now I can basically argue that point with her. I've wanted to for awhile, but I couldn't because it would raise suspicion as to my doings obviously.
To complicate things, she found my pipe and bac of Pottasium Nitrate (for smoke bombs and rocket engines) in my room and stiole it, and I said it was my old pipe. That was all fine, except it was a couple of months ago so she obviously isn't going to believe I'm not smoking anymore.

So it will be awkward for awhile but I am not really worried because there isn't much they can do to me, I have a job, a car, money, and I am in an electrical program..so they can't say I am not motivated or anything of that crap.

Well...just be prepared for when she slaps you down with the fact that it's illegal, which is what all parents who are ok with drinking and not weed use to justify their position. Not that's it's wrong or anything...getting arrested for weed SUCKS.

Anyway, a good response would be that you don't want laws that are wrong, arbitrary and stupid controlling your life

well hgow old are you now? if ure eighteen im sure shell consider it more and might accept it slowly... i see that your probably in college by what yous aid about car and money and job but still i dont tihnk they are going to go over smoothly.

One of my friends mom is a huge *****. She went on his computer and read a **** load of conversations about him smoking with me and some other kids. She called everyones parents just to bust them and now he gets drug tested and is grounded for a long time. Start storing your piss, if worst comes to worst you'll need it.

Yeah, I got into a fight with my mom after gettin arrested sayin that I was still gonna smoke and I got to go live with my dad (they're divoced) on the other side of town and he smokes more weed than me. Although I am on day 33 of a break and it's horrible. The only reason why I quit is for baseball and I'm the ****in best outfielder on the team and somehow I got cut, gotta talk to him and se wtf is up.

reminds me of how careless some people are...ur friend was really really careless...when ur dealing with substances most authority figures in life dont find usable...any kinda drugs man.. u gotta be more careful that the only people that kno are u and ur friends..no teachers...no mothers fathers cousilers...jack squat because a lot of things can happen to u over time with marijuana...if some schools find out they tell you to stop or their calling child welfare to have u taken away from ur parents or some **** might no happen but its a possibility with all these ****ing laws..

Odd situation, I am in grade 11, however I'm doing some special electrical course where I spend half a semester this year and half a semester next year doing a BCIT electrical pre-apprenticeship. $3-5k course that gets paid for by the school board, and if I continue working the trade for at least 6 months after I graduate I get $1000. So sweet deal for me, the other sweet thing is that everyone in the class smokes pot and the teacher is ok with it, as long as we use it responsibly and on our own time (ie not during class or at school).

Nothing further has been said about the matter. I've talked to my friend several times since and his mom hasn't said anything to him except "I haven't played all my cards yet" also, after she first talked to him about she said: "we'll talk later about whether you want to destroy your brain cells or not". Not only does weed NOT destroy brain cells, but she smokes, shes a hypocrit. Fortunately, she hasn't called my mom yet and I'm beggining to wonder if she will, if she she is, I don't see her reasoning for waiting so long. I would prefer that she didn't, but I am not too worried if she does, there's nothing I can do about it, so no point sitting around waiting for the phone to ring and then have my mom knock on the door.

I'm basically hoping that either nothings happens, or I can convince my mom that I am responsible enough to do it, and hopefully be able to smoke it without worry of getting busted. However I think the latter is just me being dillusional and hopefull.
