Yea. I had a huuuge post typed up, but since I won't put cookies on an
Internet cafe machine, I got logged off before I could post it. I'll try to do it
again sometime later, but I don't have time for it right now.

Anyways, I'm in Amsterdam for a few days starting yesterday. I'll post
more later.

I was there not long ago. It was great, too bad only a few days. I liked the way it's bicycles everywhere, plus all the bike lanes and no-motor streets. Also being able to go in a coffeeshop and check out the mj menu and take your pick. It's not especially cheap but you get what you pay for, meaning you get very good stuff, unlike here where results vary all the way down to fake crap. Outside one coffeeshop a 16 year old asked me to help him, buy for him (he had the dough but was underage). But I didn't do it. Mainly cuz it was my first hour in the country and I didn't want to start off by breaking the rules and disrespecting the place. He wanted to argue but it didn't change anything. That was also a change from where I'm from, where the 16 year olds have it up the wazoo and the hard werkin 44 year olds are SOL.

I took that one during my first visit to a coffeeshop (Rokerij #3 on Amstel). The joint there on the ashtray was silver haze. The guy behind the counter warned me that it was very strong, so I took his word for it and only smoked a little. I mean, I was worried that this "nederwiet" was gonna totally blow me away and I'd be found huddled next to some canal somewhere babbling nonsense in my mother tongue. As it turned out, it didn't really effect me all that different from the familiar stuff back home. And since I went easy, it was overall rather mild. However, it was nice.

B.G. = bubblegum. The unlabelled one is Jack Herrer. The "one hit bat" cigarette lookalike is the type I always like to use... however it's useless with schwag. (That was not a problem on this trip )

My conclusion at the end of the trip was that the weed there isn't a whole different experience from what you get elsewhere... but being able to pop in to any of several hundred conveniently located shops scattered around the city, order a gram of this or that from a menu, and smoke in peace in view of others doing the same (as well as police passing by outside the picture windows) was just WAY MORE CIVILIZED than the way it's done in DEA land. Also society there does not seem to have collapsed. Oh and, it's tougher for the unfortunate underage kids.

I think that is not just your experience. There have been some reports about Dutch Nederwiet being o-so-strong but it seems BS. The Dutch Trimbos institute reports average THC levels in Nederwiet of 9% in 99/00, 11% in 00/01 and 15% in 01/02. Now here's the catch, they report that according to DEA-figures the average THC level in confiscated sinsemilla in the USA was 12% in 1998. So, US-weed was 1% stronger in 1998 than Nederwiet in 2000/2001.......

Case closed?

i myself am planning a trip to the 'dam.gonna be goin in early Nov most likely.gonna go for 7-10 days(hopefully the latter).ill make sur eto take plenty of pictures.gotta love the digicam,1500 pictures on one itty bitty lil card,you know i love it.
