heh yea definetly learn to roll joints. when i dont have my bowl, or its not a good situation to pack a bowl/ smoke one...i reach for my hemp papers.

joint papers are essential to anyone's pocket, and i think they beat blunts for the taste and the mellowness of the smoke.

but overall i prefer a nice bowl...i have a nice piece now that i enjoy smoking out of.

well my plan was a total bust. arriving in england, i realized there like 10 centuries behind with there attitude towards the mj. i quickly realized drinking and smoking at 16 was accepted [you can buy cigs at 16 there] but pot was not. ever corner store, or hippie/holistic shop i went into didnt sell pipes or bongs, unlike back here in canada.

after searching for almost a week i gave up. i never got a good chance to score some mj, or a pipe or bong. the only shop i saw briefly was while driving with my parents, and obviously i couldnt stop..it was also on the last day we were there.

in the end i think the trip was successful mj-wise none-the-less. i had a nice 2 week break from it, and i feel better. i smoked a bowl last night, and i felt like a freaking newbie smoker again, it hit me really hard. gotta try to smoke with others more, if i smoke alone i sometimes get trapped in my own head, and let me tell you, its a scary freaking neighborhood. lol.

england/france [i went to both] seem very open on just 'smoking' though. cigarettes, etc, are widely accepted, and almost EVERYONE i saw in france was holding a ciggie in there hand. i dont smoke cig's, so it was useless for me, but intresting none-the-less.

i found drinking! yes, i got my first ever hangover. and let me tell you, ill be sticking with the mj from now on. i was sorta peer-pressured into drinking some vodka/coke mix, and.....

well put it this way. just the thought of it now makes me want to be sick.


beer i find alright, but what the hell is the point of being totally uncontrolled, loud mouthed, and not being able to walk straight? i find i can control myself on MJ when needed, but i was definitely a bit tipsy the first few nights of drinking. needless to say, i only drank 3 nights, and the last night was my hangover. yuck.

i was talking with a few kids my age, and from what i can gather, poor england gets screwed royally for pricing. i pay 45-50$ canadian for a quarter [7g's] and i know i get a good deal, but for around 20 POUNDS [again, 2.5 ratio, so around 45-50$ canadian when converted] i was told you could only get 3.5 grams [a half q]

again, this may be dirtbag high school prices, and im sure most of you get better deals, but it appears to be very very expensive. food and whatnot is almost at a pounds:dollar ratio, making everything in england basically 2.5 times more expensive to my grass filled canada.



i do recommend england, it is certainly a sight to be seen, and i love there approaches to drinking/smoking at younger ages. it really deters all the teens from acting like stupid american college kids [no offence] and binge drinking, funnel drinking, etc. the smoking one's a bit odd, but i guess they figure, kids are going to get a hold of it anyways.

a good trip, without any trips. heh.

Oh how I can't wait until the day I can get back to England - I love it there, so much! I know absolutely nothing about weed in the UK, though, except that they've got it, but I'd venture a guess that the person who mentioned Camden Town was probably right. You didn't make it there, did you? I think you probably wouldn't have felt the same attitude about it there, that you found, elsewhere. I feel pretty confident that had I asked any of the punks hanging out, outside the tube station, there, they'd have been able to hook me up. The people in Camden Town still live their life the same way they did, back in the 80's - wildly punked out, only now, you usually see the girl with the pink spikey mohawk, and ripped fishnet stockings wandering around, with a couple of rugrats in tow.

When I was in Camden Town, I was completely sober, but still have a great time wandering around, and checking out the shops in the area. I got a full finger length, dragon, armor ring, there, for $10 (the same kind you find here in the states for closer to $50-$60), and a couple pairs of Docs for less than half of what I'd have paid for them here.

Glad you had a great trip, despite the fact that it was a dry spell.
