Ahhh! I can't believe I procrastinated (again). I'm leaving in a couple of days on a trip to include the mecca: Vancouver.

So where do I go to enjoy the finer things in life? I'll be there for 2 days.

I'm totally psyched!

Hastings Street if you wanna smoke.i hear robson(sp?) street is pretty cool but i didnt make it that far(due to a medical condition lol).oh and i beleive the mecca for stoners is amsterdam-where ill be goin soon.anyone know the best coffeeshop in A'Dam btw?

i live in kelowna its a 4 hour drive from vancouver. a good cafe in vancouver
is d'kien and a good place to toke ILLeagly is bc marijuana party bookstore.

i dunno if you just want places to smoke, but i was trying to think of what a visitor would visit in vancouver and it was hard lol! i guess we're mostly famous for our outdoorsy stuff, anyone else from vancouver know what one would do when visiting here? lol

hope you haven't left yet... do you do any hiking? get baked and see our wilderness, it will probably blow your mind. it blows mine

get baked and go to the imax theatre at either science world at main st. or the cn imax at canada place by the waterfront.

use the skystrain to get around to different parts of the city. at night visit chinatown.

even if you do absolutely nothing and just get baked and walk around youll still have a good time.

if you want to see the drug scene of vancouver, and prostitution and whatnot visit the downtown eastside. east hastings st.

the cafe burnt down a couple months ago.

if you want to buy pot from somebody usually they dont rip you off with pot. a lot of people sell excellent hash as well. i once got a 4 gram chunk of hash from afghanistan for 10 bucks. you just gotta shop around. the guys are actually pretty fun to talk to

Van is like any other city in that you will be generally safe unless you 1) act like a victim 2) flaunt bling bling / cash etc 3) are stupid or 4) go where you shouldnt

avoid hastings and get yerself some ganja!

I live in Toronto and spent last summer hitchhiking across British Columbia, and only once did I ever get into some trouble, and even then it was a misunderstanding by the other person and we came to an understanding before it got physical.

That said, as I was taking the Greyhound to Victoria I saw from my window, at around midnight, many many cops. I saw lots of homeless people and junkies, as well as cops trying to get a guy hiding under a car. I thought 'oh man, why did I leave the coast?!'

But it was a nice city, just like Vancouver.

If ya wanna have some REAL fun go to the coast man, check out areas around Port Alberni - I got rides from a few people and they had their 'secret' BC place where the bud was always dirt cheap and the people cool, well I found mine too. Problem is, no one likes talking about there place because every year they get more popular
