People.They can think, they can communicate with each other on a level beyond anything previously achieved. And most importantly, they can create. These creatures have achieved a level of thought that has allowed them to not only comprehend their surroundings, but to put their surroundings into terms they can understand. If something is there to be explained they will explain it. If something is unexplainable they will make it explainable. They can pick something up, alter it, and it will be changed enough that they can call it something different. They socialize at a whole new level as well. Through their interactions they can turn a group of people into one thing. A community, a village, a town, a city, it doesn't matter. As more people come into creation, and as different kinds of people mix together, they find ways to make it work. As people take what there is and turn it into what wasn't, they find new directions to go, more room for progress, improvement. They create abstract concepts and use them to expand the horizons of the human race. These things come in the form of music, art, and most importantly, invention. Once a process is in place people improve upon it constantly. The longest running process is progress. Once man kind realized it had free will it has used it to improve itself. Thus is the nature of intelligent thought. As long as this process is in motion, they will survive. In fact, even if they are set back they always manage to put everything back together. Always better than it was before. Proving that progress is a cycle, not a straight line. I ask those of you that wish to change the world for the better to keep this in mind. Sometimes things need to get worse before they can get better. The trick is to know when the cycle is on the upswing. This will probably happen at least once within everybody's lifettime. That is your chance to improve your surroundings. Hopefully it's at a point in your life where you have the means and the time to do something. Just remember that you don't always have to work within the parameters that society has placed for you, just try not to hurt anybody.
