I recently took some time to look at some forums that look at cannabis and martial arts and how they help or hinder. Basically, it was a waste of time. Many "experts" and forum members said it was terrible and yet the say that they haven't tried it. I think it helps on many levels.
1. It empties you mind in meditation.
2. It helps you to express yourself phisically.
3. It frees limitations of your mind allowing you to try new forms and techniques.
One more thing. Bruce Lee smoked hash and chewed cannabis roots to help him. He is my hero because he had a brilliant mind and he was a great martial artist. He died from swelling of the brain and many try to blame cannabis for this but that had nothing to do with it. If the greatest martial artist of all time endulged in marijuana, then I believe it is not only okay, it is good.

alot of martial artists smoke. i know an aikido sensei who's hardcore and he smokes alot. he also is real into chewing the roots and **** like that. in china and the whole orient in general; smoking is not a big deal. it was used like 7500 years ago as a medicine (eating/ boiling) it to sooth injured people, pregnant women, and other things.. maybe thats why chinese people are so short, ancestors smoked weed pregnant ha

opium addictoin was so bad in china, that there litterally wasn't any food to eat, and no one did any work, everyone was a slave to opium all day every day, so eventually the chinnese government had to execute people for smoking opium, that's how bad it got over there, hell there was even a war over opium.
