i no this is kind of off topic but i need to ask someone because i have no one else to go to. so theres this girls that i dated last year and now shes going out with this one guy but once they break up im thinking of asking her out. she says im one of her best guy friends. i wanted to know if any 1 thinks i should try and ask her out again or if u have any other advice.

In my experience, most often, when a girl says your one of her best guy friends, it means that and nothing more. It can be a frustrating position to be in, but its one you're most likely stuck with. There's exceptions to every rule, but for the most part, she probably wouldn't have pointed out the "friend" part so plainly if she wanted anything more out of the relationship. That being said, most ex's are ex's for a reason.....just because you may have once had something "special" with this person doesn't mean that whatever spark that brought you together is still burning. Attempting to rekindle things with an ex is a touchy subject, but personally I advise against it. After all, if things were meant to be, you most likely wouldn't have broken up to begin with. I know being a "friend" is a frustrating position to be in when you want more, but it can work. My personal opinion is that if it gets to be sheer torture (because you want more than friendship) sometimes the friendship has got to die. I know that sounds harsh, but is that really any more harsh than putting yourself through torture every day? Most of my exs I have no problem being friends with....but a few others things didn't work out so well with. LOL.....hell, one of my female friends (never actually dated, but considered it more than once) refuses to even acknowledge my presence ever since I got married. If you must, make your move......just don't put yourself through hell pining for her, as it does no good, and no woman is worth driving yourself insane over.
