i just got back from amsterdam

it was the first time i had ever flown and boy was it amazing - the best place i have ever been. it is sooo incredible. quite expensive tho if you really want to smoke - i was only there for 4 days and me my girl and one of my friends managed to smoke about 3 and a half ounces in that time (and spent almost 2000 on just herb in that time). at the end we had 40 empty bags with an average of atleast 2 grams ine ach one (many had up to 4 or 5). anyways i kept track of what i smoked, and here it is

heh went in november for 2 weeks. ****in incredible. best i smoked while there was super crystal. next would be nyc diesel.

you smoked way more than i did, although, it was pretty much just me smoking.not to mention the fact that i hadnt smoked for like 1 week before so my tolerance was low.

anyways, if its still (semi)legal there in '08, ill be making the trip again for sure.

Dude, you went to some pretty sweet places...but I'm amazed that you didn't visit 'De Dampkring'. It's been rated the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam for a few years in a row now, but I believe (as you stated) that the Green House took that cup now. But I'm glad you enjoyed the capital of our little country! Be sure to check out the other sights Holland has next time though, we have...........er.......windmills......and.....eh. ...clogs...eh...lots of cows...

...okay so maybe we don't have that much but it's the thought that counts!
Oh, please note that Amsterdam is the most expensive city to buy pot in (which is kinda logical if you think about it...), if you live in backwater, rural Holland like I do, you can be high every night for damn near a month for just 40 euro's...I hope you more people come and savour the goodness that is nederwiet (netherweed)

1.How much was ur Plane and hotel (planing on going in 2007, it says the tickets were around 500$)

2.Could u only smoke in a "coffe shop"?

3.Did u go 2 the Red District, n if so how was it?

4. What were the prices of the weed?

clogs you are sooo luck i wish i lived there!! (i have a job in one of the bulldogs actually already but i just need to find soemwhere definite to live first.. which can be a *****)
we wanted to go to the dampkring but we couldnt seem to find it - all well next time well go (i cant say i give the cannabis cup any real swaying on stuff there, at least after talking to owners of coffeeshops)

#1 STONER:

1. about $500 each for the plane tickets and the 3 of us stayed in a 1 room triple room and it was about 400 euros for 4 nights, a pretty good deal from what i hear

2. we smoked in our room a ton but ya basically, theres no reason to push your luck and try to smoke lots of places cause theres coffeeshops everywhere. we also smoked walking around the streets at night a few times after everything closed

3. we didnt leave the red light district our hotel was like 3 blocks from central station, right in the cented of amsterdam. the red light district is awesome - the prostiution is really weird but theres coffeeshops every block practically

4. usually about 10-12 euros for around 2 grams, but thers lots of difference, some place u can get 5grams for 25 and sometimes theres crazy stuff thats real expensive (the haze icolator hash was 30 euros a gram)

Basicly you can smoke anywhere in the Netherlands unless the local governement made a edict about it in which case you can only smoke in your room or a coffeeshop.

Yea it was one of the harder places for me to find as well. just gotta have a decent map. Once you know where it is its easy to find, but finding it that first time was a *****. You didnt miss too much by not going to it, it was cool and all on the inside, but it was always crowded, and could never find a place to sit. Id like to mention the 420 Cafe, it was my favorite coffeeshop while i was there, really liked the atmosphere. Didnt get no buds from there, but it was a cool place to hang out.

Although most of my time in amsterdam was spent walking around, didnt spend too much time in the shops. Next time i go ill know exactly where to go, what to get, what to do. got that town memorized.

De dampkring is indeed a ***** to find , it took me a good three hours to find it as well. It's a pretty small coffeeshop, hence the 'busy-factor', but they have a kind called cold pressed pollen there...to put it this way I'd travel two hours with the train (which is, mind you, practically halfway through holland) just to get five grams of cold pressed pollen. For a hashjoint it's the absolute smoothest smoke that I personally have ever had, you barely even feel big chunks, and it gets you so ungodlyfreaking HIGH...plus it's pretty cheap it rules!

And the basic rule of thumb in Holland is: smoke weed anywhere you like, just don't bother people with it. In public buildings, main streets, those kind of things the cops will tell you to put your joint out, confiscate your weed, and may just give you a little ticket for it, but I've hardly ever heared of anyone going to jail for it. Basically they trust in your own common sense here, and if you want to smoke pot in your room, or in a nice secluded area of a park, go right ahead!
You should try going through the Vondelpark in Amsterdam in the summer sometimes. There are these trees next to the water that kind of hang over and make like natural chairs, and if it's nice weather out, you see people sitting in these trees, reading books, listening to music and smoking weed. There is ab-so-lu-te-ly nothing like laying back on a treebranch, with a little sun and a little wind, with a good book and a joint. I've seen people falling out of those trees, into the water, just to climb back out, hop back in the tree, and letting the sun dry their clothes.

ahhh vondel park, what a beauty it is. smoked pot there a couple times, a just overall relaxed there. was in early november, and i found the weather to be perfect. damn, wish i could go back right now, but alas, no money, no vacation time.

i miss amsterdam
