I went to school, and I'm under the impression that school is setup just to keep our minds busy. Too busy to realize whats going on in the world today.
In history class, were learning about mistakes our ancestors have made in the past. Yet, we continue do them, and were sitting here doing nothing about correcting them.
When you sit back down in your classrooms, I want you to ask "Where are we going."

Man Im in Home School. So I kind of forgot how the whole classroom setting is. But I am in 11th grade. Hopefully When I get my credits caught up I`ll just freaken go back to school. I kind of miss the school settings because when your at school thats how you meet most of ur friends anyways.. haha..

But back about 3yrs ago I used to sit back and just day dream. HAHA..

Your objective is to find out if they are really about educating you, opposed to them just tring to keep you busy.

I feel at my school that they are actully teaching us in some classes, For example:

I am in an honors history class, everyday, we go over a chapter or two, going threw primary events and stuff like that. During this, we have open disscussion on how it relates to the world today, and how it might affect our futures. Personally, i like this teacher, since he is exactly like me, a hippie...

Now another example for a regular biology class:

My teacher, is an activist actully, everyday she comes in with a news on what is going on in the science world, and how it relates to us. One day she came in very upset about the law on stem cell research. So instead of continuing on our lesson plan, we took two days learning about stem cell research, the pros and cons, and the ethics of it.


Now my school is mainly like this, we have alot of teachers that like to get involved and we are lucky for that. Other teachers in our school however, would rather just teach the plan and not learn anything else. So it depends on the teacher.

That sounds like a really cool science teacher. Getting into the information students want to know. Thats what school is suppose to be about.
