I would like to plug a book I recently bought from Barnes and Noble:

Pot Planet: Adventures in Global Marijuana Culture

The book is the story of the author on a trip to various countries throughout the world (modern and 3rd world alike). The author discusses the different buds he smokes and how the quality and abundance of weed varries but more importantly (as the subtitle suggests) the book talks about marijuana culture and reveals the attitudes of simple tokers, activists, prohibitionists and law enforcement in the different countries he tours. The book is very insightful. The many stories and anecdotes also make it an easy and entertaining read. And I guaruntee you, I am not an avid reader so that's saying something. I only wish that the book included pictures of the places Brian visited and the buds he indulged in. To quote Alice from Lewis Caroll's "Alice in Wonderland," "I’m sorry, but how can one possibly pay attention to a book with no pictures in it?" Some nice pics certainly would have helped but you can enjoy the book despite, I'm pretty sure Alice was stoned off her ass when she said that.
