It was beautiful in Nova Scotia while I was back there for a week in august.

I was only supposed to be there for a week. I spent that week smoking good pot and hashish with old friends and drinking a couple times at some local parties.

The whole week went well until what was supposed to be my last weekend there. It was a Saturday night and the weather was excellent. Myself and a handful of teenage friends(16-20years old) went to a nearby town to party at an old high school friends house.

Pre-party preparations involved a small get together at my buddys house where I consumed a qt of vodka and some wine along with a large amount of pot and hash. I can't remember making it to this party in this other town.

I was very intoxicated. After spending not even an hour at this party an old enemy of mine wanted to fight me. He was not nearly as drunk as I was. He's 6'4 200 pds also. I'm 6' 175. I decide after some friends telling me he's waiting on the road outside for me to go and fight him. My friends tried to stop me but no I unfortunately didn't listen.

I goto the road. There's literally about 100 kids on the road all either gathering around to watch the fight or leaving before the cops came. I can't remember but my friends say I walked into him and he nailed me a good one square in the forehead, I didn't fall down though, I went into him with a barrage of good body shots before we were both tackled by a large friend of mine. My opponent got up and ran away while I was still on the ground because I couldn't get up on my own two feet no matter how hard I tried. My buddy got me up and as we were walking to the car 2 cruisers pull up and start dispersing the crowd.

I'm halfway into one of my close friends girlfriends car when a female cop approaches me and asked me what I've been up to. I tell her{stupid} that I got suckerpunched and I wanted to find the guy and kick his ass. She's initially pretty cool and just tells me to get into the car and go home but by this time i'm outside of the car and in my head i'm going to find this guy that hit me.

She says last chance to get in the car or else she's taking me in. I said something like "i'm gonna kick his ass" haha and that's when she tried to grab my arms to handcuff me. I resisted and she couldn't overpower me so she called another cop over for backup. He wasn't a big guy but he could sure wrestle. Two of my close friends are right in the mixup between me and the two officers. they're trying in vain to get them to go away by telling them to just leave me alone and they'll get me home. The cops weren't budging they continued to try and handcuff me. My two friends one of which is very strong helped me quite a bit in resisting with them.

After roughly 20 minutes of literally wrestling with the cops, people start to come out of their houses to help disperse the crowd. Another buddy of mine who was arguing with a paramedic for god knows what reason like 20ft away from me got punched in the face by one of these civilian "heroes" and then gets arrested by another cop before he even stood up on his feet.


The female cop is getting frustrated now, shes been screaming at the male cop that was wrestling with me to pepper spray me. He didn't so she whipped it out and sprayed all of us in the tangle, myself ,my two buddies and the male cop just dropped in a heap of peppery pain on top of each other with me on the bottom.

This doesn't stop me though. Now I'm angry, about 30 minutes has passed since I began resisting and now i'm full of pepper spray. Things start getting really rough. The male cop was PO'd because he got pepper sprayed too. The male cop is really trying to handcuff me now, the female cop is screaming at the top of her lungs with the taser pointed at me for everyone to back off me becuase shes going to shoot but she couldn't get a clean shot because I was touching the other cop and if I got zapped he would've too along with my two buddies who were still trying to separate us.

About 40 minutes pass, we're all pretty exhausted and our little wrestling match has turned into a local spectacle with residents coming out of their houses to watch along with the 50 odd drunken teenagers still on the road also watching. I tear off the male officers vest while wrestling and it was only like a few minutes later when I had a boot on my neck, exhausted, with my hands finally in cuffs.

It's still not over, It took the two of them another 15-20 minutes just to get me in the cruiser. After all this time passed they weren't watching either cruisers and one of my drunken friends escaped the car after another drunken friend unlocked the back door for him. They get me in the cruiser, i'm still burning from the pepper spray so they fill up a bucket of water from god knows where, just seemed to come out of nowhere and dumped it on me while I was half in the car. After they did this they crammed me in and slammed the door.

I then kicked out the back window, I didn't even attempt to escape, I just kicked it out and told them they're going to have a hell of a time getting me from the backseat of this car to my cell.

I get to the station and they're the only two cops there. It's a very small town. I continued the wrestling match with the female and male officer. After 10 minutes of wrestling in the garage the female called for backup. This big black cop arrives.

Now i'm finally outmatched. I mean I got thrashed bad the whole time they were dragging me to my cell and it was a long drag because I still didn't give up resisting. They were kicking me and punching me in the abdomen. When they got me to my cell door they could only get me half way in. They started to rip my clothes off and the black cop then kicked me hard in the mouth from an odd angle. I felt my two front teeth chip immediately. Then not even a second later I got a second stomp directly on the right side of my neck. I honestly thought my neck was broken, I felt like I was going to die so I finally gave up resisting.

They then got the rest of my clothes tore off me and I lay there stupified. I can't move and they just leave me there on the floor of this concrete cell. I honestly thought I was going to die and I wasn't even scared but then......

*Snap* the little steal flap on my cell door opens and a effin' hose just blasts me while i'm laying on the floor. I got up quick and realized I wasn't going to die after all. I'm now soaken wet and my entire body hurts. I started laughing hysterically. I just couldn't help myself. I was like i've never been arrested before, at least I made this one a good one haha. I'll tell my grandkids someday or maybe i'll just show them the newspaper clipping.

I got off with 10 days probation because I was a military recruit and 835 dollars in fines. They also dropped the assault on PO charge because of my pending military career.

That's my story about getting arrested while on vacation. I suggest to anyone and everyone. It's better in the end to just get in the effin' car when they say so.

Holly crap dude! I almost cant believe it. Thats crazy, thank god you were in a small town. If you were in my town you would be slammed! Well its good you got off too, and a great "This one time....." story for all your buddies. Good luck in the military.

Just think...a little common sense, and you wouldn't have been arrested, been put on probation, have a record, AND you'd be 800 bucks richer....can't exactly see why you'd recommend this course of action myself. your extremely lucky....most jurisdictions wouldn't give a rat's ass about your military career, and assulting a cop is a felony offense that normally carries significant prison time

Yeah, its not uncommon for drunk people to resist cops and authorities like its life or death though.

Agreed, but the law rarely takes the fact that the person is intoxicated as a mitigating factor though...you put yourself in that position, and are still responsible for your actions. Not many cops would say "Oh, but he/she was drunk....." The charges usually remain despite how out of his/her mind drunk/high/whatever the person may have been. If you VOLUNTARILY intoxicate yourself, you are responsible for whatever crimes you commit. There have been a very few cases where it was found the person became intoxicated against his/her will, but those are very rare, and insanely difficult to prove.

i ju8st wanted to say that in a rare case fighting with cops can get u killed. lets say u start chockiing a cop and another cop shoots you becuase u were taking the life of a human being, ur shot. ok lets say its in the leg. you say u were defending your self the cop simply says u werent defending yourself. his word against yours, whos do you think the law is leaning on. the pigs.
and ever consider if you died from the shot....
its just not worth it to fight with cops.

and in prison if you want to have high chances of surviving you have to be a ´´*****´´. if you try to act gangsta and **** you probably are going to get ****ed up by big mother ****ers and maybe raped.

I forgot to add that I had a blunt with a gram of finely crumbled hash in it in my front pocket of my dress shirt. It got soaked when they dumped the water over my head as they were shoving me into the cruiser. The next morning I asked the guard if my cigar was still in my front pocket and he said there's bits and pieces of what used to be a cigar and he threw it in the garbage.

I was very lucky that I didn't get a possession charge. That would've f*cked me over good.

The cops also held me for two damn days in that cell because I wasn't from the province, ended up missing my flight home.

Went to basic training a couple weeks later and got kicked out, haha what can ya do.

I'd also like to add that I never threw any punches at the cops. I just resisted as best as I could without hitting them. What I did was very stupid, that's why I added at the end of my story..............

Agreed TM, I know it wasn't the right thing or smart to do, or even an excuse.
Just thats what happends to certain people when they get DRUNK.
