AS of right now, possession of up to 1/4 lb of dried cannabis or 25 plants is LEGAL in Alaska under State law. Efforts are bing made to change this however, and no matter what the state law is marijuana is still illegal in all 50 states under Federal law.

Yeah our fucktard governor is trying to railroad a law through to make all weed illegal. Actually they tried to put it on the same bill with meth... Anyways, another important distinction is that its 4 ounces in the home you get caught with weed out and about your still fucked. Plus troublemaker is dead on when he says its still illegal under federal law, thats always been a big issue up here (conflict between state and federal law.)

Also I just have to thank you troublemaker for not punishing me for talking about getting my polar bear high... hahaha

I have been trying to tell folks that the whole 2 years I been here the gov been getting down on pot laws. it is on murkowpies desk now. the smoking dream is over unless there is an appel to stop the law going into effect?
Hence I bid farewell alaska. it cost way to much to live here and be governed to death too.

I can't belive he's running for Governer again..Murky is a total FUCKTARD, and has the second lowest opinion ratining of governers nation-wide.

We'll end up with a democrat for our next governer...and pro-cannabis legislation will prosper because of this.

Don't get to excited, do you really think the "man" or "the system" is just going to let cannabis be loosley regulated up here? Hell no, this is all part of a larger plan that dosen't even really consider cannabis into the equation.

AK is of strategic importance, as well as having vast natural resources. I think the powers that be wanted to grab as much as they could (hence the governers new jet..?) and let a democrat come into power to "fuck things up even worse"...the whole clinton administration is an example/microcosm of what is going to happen to AK. . .

Its not? Possessing up to a 1/4 lb, without criminal penalties, in your own home, sounds like its legal to me! Sure, you can't carry it with you everywhere you go, and there are restrictions as to the amount you can have, but its a far cry better than what we live with in the lower 48
