LOL....and its also highly difficult to PROVE THEM RIGHT. People have spent decades rying to provide proof of God, or even the basis for many religions. More often than not, it cannot be done. Some people have faith its all true, others are more skeptical. The way I see it, believe what you need to believe to get by, and allow others that same freedom. I'm not exactly relgious, but i have no problem with others practicing the relgion of thei choice. Its not up to me to decide whats wrong with the relgions of other people, and I'd perfer to be given the same benefits. Religion/spirirtuality is a highly personal thing, and its NO ONE's place to dismiss the beliefs of another. You don't have to agree, but why make i a point to tell someone that you believe their beliefs to be misguided and wrong? What does that solve?

I dont mind people practicing their relgions, no matter what they are. I just think some people go overboard, and some people get brainwashed. I really dont mind though (unless they're trying to convert people)

I know that is hard to prove them as well (probably impossible) and I have no problem AT ALL letting others practice whichever religions they choose, that's just my view on it... I'm not trying to impose my beliefs on others, and as long as they don't either I'm fine with it

I am a devout disciple of the lord as well as my guru. The lord exposes himself through various bodies Christ, Krishna, Buddha, ect... I meditate daily and practice bhakti and karma yoga. In my earlier years of my meditation practice cannabis was a help in developing the consciousness I was seeking.

man, u guys are thinking too much of what people have done under the influence of religion or marijuana.

its not religion that causes people to kill...nor is marijuana a bad thing or an evil thats chuckling at us.

it completely depends on how you use it. I smoke MJ and use it to have fun. I also worship the christian God and accept Jesus to help me love my fellow man and be a good person.

with every religion you can use it for positive and negative. Same with every drug known to man.

why just the other day i was watching Cops and the guy was so stoned he gave his smoking buddies his car and 40 bucks to get some more stuff and called the cops because they didn't come back.

my conclusion is:
its not the plant that makes people do good or bad things, and its not religion either.
The people use these things as tools to do good or bad things.
Don't blame evil on these things. The evil is soley the fault of the person(s), and the person(s) alone.

Possibly understanding what those arrangements of letters on the page mean may however help a person get closer to an understanding of the Transcendant within himself.

I have found that it is almost impossible however for anyone to comprehend the existence of a Transcendantal Being though without first recognizing the Transcendant that exists within the Self.

I am also jewish, but I really cant claim that it brought me closer to my religion, could you maybe explain how mamabudz?

Personally, I am a reform jew, which means that I am at the lowest level of observance (Orthodox, Conservative, Reform). I haven't searched too intensely, but I haven't seen a Jewish text to date that forbidded the smoking of herb so I really havent had to reconcile anything.

I would say though that I have had some pretty deep personal spiritual thoughts while high and that it can help you look at your spirituality from a different angle. I think the most mind expanding spiritual experience I have had though was on off topic fungi...
