My next door neighbor told me about summer jobs in Alaska. The resorts hire a bunch of people from all over the world to work in Alaska during the summer. I applied for a job last month and just recieved a 5 month contract.
I will be working in Denali for a chain of resorts. I'll be living in a dorm room on the resort, and will be eating resort food. Denali is right on a white water river, and surrounded by pristine wilderness. The best part of this job is that you get to do all the tourist stuff that the resort offers, for free! White water rafting , helicopter rides, bus tours... theres alot for me to do in my free time. I'm leaving in a few days.

some of the more intelligent questions ive heard-

What is the elevation?
-Uh about 15 feet? You just came in on the fucking boat.

How many times does a salmon spawn and die in its lifetime?
-....Well I guess it depends on your religion.

(Theres a glacier not five miles from where i live) If the glacier is styrofoam why don't you move it downtown so everyone can see it?
-The glacier....is not....styrofoam.

Yeah...they're real dumb.

Some friends of mine went to ALaska thinking they were going to make a ton of money working as fish cleaners. Yeah, the money was good, but they absolutely HATED the job with a passion. SOunds like you got a better deal, though.
