I can totally relate to this thread simply because I seem to attract the ODDEST damn people at the most unwanted times. I try not to be mean about it, but damnit how come I can get some oversexed Desperate Housewife to chat me up, instead of the Recon sqaud for the Tinfoil Hat Bridgade...?... I don't mind be helpful..even though its put me in situations where Im suprised I didn't end up on the back of a milk carton,...but there is a drawback to holding conversations with people that assume I wanna be in it with them. No i'm waiting for my bus/train/walking home, I REALLY dont wanna debate about the radio signals coming from Alpha Centauri... ![]()

Just out of question, what is that? I carry around something maybe simular. It's a small stone that I've had since I was 7. One of the only things not broken or lost from that age. I never go ANYWHERE without it. If it disappears, which it has a number of times, it always shows back up sooner or later. So like said before, what is a Shiva Lingam? ![]()

you my have a very,, err , non intimidating appearance to you. So in your life experience some pretty fucked up people in need of talking has connected to you. You seem to not just say "shut up freak" and you seem to listen and give off vibes, positive in nature and give the person in need what they want, someone to use as a brainstorming tool to get out whats in their head. Often people open up to others who they aren't close to because it's easier to say it to those whom don't care as much as a loved one.

Here is some basic info: Colour: The colour and patterning of the stone vary a lot, from grey to beige, to brown and a reddish brown. Countries found in: The stones are found exclusively in the Narmada river, which is located in the mountains of Mandhata in India. The stones are made of crypto crystalline quartz and legend has it that they formed when a meteorite fell to earth several million years ago. The natural movement of the river is believed to help create the egg or oval shape of the stones. They're only gathered on one day each year and are hand polished to give them a smooth and gleaming surface. Metaphysical Properties: Shiva Lingam's are said to have one of the highest frequency vibration rates of all the stones on earth. As such, the vibration is said to be perfect for purification purposes, whether at home, work or in an area of sacred space. The shape of the stone represents male energy (knowledge) and the markings, which differ greatly from stone to stone, represent female energy (wisdom). Together the two elements signify the merging of male and female energy and the stones can act as a reminder to us to balance our own male-female energies and create a more harmonious state of being. In India, the only place where they're found, they're regarded as being sacred and holy stones and are highly thought of in both Hindu and Buddhist belief systems. And here are some personal pictures of my OWN Shiva Lingams! The biggie is the new one...I'm going to meditate and charge it with the most intense feelings of love, happiness, peace, serenity and joy. These stones can hold onto a emotion much better than ANY stone I have worked with. I let a friend (who knows nothing about gems, crystals or rocks for mystical purposes) "hold" the baby lingam. Instantly he smiled and said, "woah dude! This is the HAPPY ROCK!" Many others have said similar things. Many people ask to hold my mini-lingam (they know I always have it in my pocket!) if they are stressed or upset. I don't know if the "ballancing of male/female" energy is what I feel...but these stones are like wet cement...you can impress IMMENSE ammounts of energy into them for later. Call me wierd...lol Oh yeah, the pics!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy! I also picked up some snowflake obsidian and a small cube of green kaynite...both very suitable for 3rd-eye chakra opening/astral travel! ![]() | |

I've actually got some snowflake obsidian. Anyway, yeah... Aren't those kind of the basis for the rocks, sacred stones, in the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? Not saying they're just a movie prop cause now that you mention them I have heard of them before but still. I always carry around a rock with me, red-maybe granite maybe jasper, and it's polished. I don't let other people touch it, keeps it pure on the energy side of things. Those that have touched it always ask why it's warm. That's the thing...no matter where it is or where it's been, even in cold areas, it's still warm. Something about me I guess makes it always stay warm. Same with any chargable material I carry. If I carry around certain types of metal, especially silver, I have the tendancy to make it get pretty damn hot while it's near me for some reason. I also have the tendancy to stop watches, and slow them down constantly, so I never wear a watch or even keep a clock too close to me lest I be forced to buy a new one. I also fuck up lightbulbs, TV's, electronics in general. For some reason I've got some kind of energy around me that simply fucks with things. Funniest thing is, so does my mom and my sister. My sister can't even carry zippo lighters on her because they get so hot just being carried on her that they combust while in her pockets even though they haven't been used to get hot. I can't carry zippos because the fluid disappears within 10 minutes of me carrying one. I've got a good one that says "I said no to drugs but they didn't listen," and I keep it full usually and store it for a month at a time and it usually still works so it's go a good seal but whenever I carry it it doesn't last 10 minutes. Pisses me off on that point. Either way, thanks for replying Dadornta...keep up the podcast, it was pretty enjoyable last time I listened. ![]()

Damn this big one is awesome! I have it in my lap right now and my whole lower body is tingling. Im also "happy as HELL" :P Yes! The writers for Indiana Jones used the Lingam as the basis for the Temple of Doom... Actually, Lingams in and of themselves come in a variety of materials and shapes...*Shiva Lingams* are special in that they come from one river, and only one village harvests them...they are polished, smoothed and since their shape and composition are excellent naturally--they are made into Lingams. From what I gather so far, a Lingam is a phallic object that represents both male and female energy in the Hindu religion. On this Shiva Lingam (which is seriously one amazing rock!), the colors/patterns represent female, and the shape is male... Oh man my legs are going numb! Seriously! Granted, im hella baked...but i always can sense more subtle things when high ![]()
