Prelude: I wasnt sure if this belonged in the Caught section or not

I mean by cops, not by parents, etc.. I suspect this would never happen. A buddy of mine and I were smoking in my room, with no one else in the house. Around 1 in the morning. Maybe we were a little loud? About an hour later I got out into my living room and see a Police Cruiser drive by with a spotlight. I know I was high, but Im 100% of what I saw, total buzzkill. But it got me thinking the next day, is that even a possibility? I refuse to smoke in public, at parties, or drive while high. Just at home and in hotels (after concerts). So I consider it safe and responsible.

The only time they'd be allowed is if they have a warrent, if there are noise complaints from your neighbors, etc.

They could probably bust you in a hotel without any of those, because it's not your property that you're on.

I was arrested in my apartment. The neighbors called about the smell, and as I opened the door to leave, came face to face with 2 officers. The cloud of smoke behind me didn't help matters any at that point

I would think if they really thought something was up you would have a knock on the door. The pig most likely was checking out your bushes for some hooligan kids. I would'nt be to worried. Happy smokin

Cops always patrol apartment complexes late at night, i wouldn't worry too much, but be careful. Anytime you are residing in a condo, apartment, or hotel you run the risk of having your neighbors know you're every move. That's why I HATE living in apartments. I know everytime my neighbor's have a fight, and I'm sure vice versa.

Usually the cops are just looking for thieves. A lot of cars get broken into in apartment complexes- usually because the parking lots are so full of cars, it makes for a prime location.

Speaking of th fuzz, last night I went outside to startup the community grill and there was a cop sitting outside our complex. He asked me if i had heard a noise complaint, I said no, and he grumbled something I couldn't understand, looked pissed and drove off. It was kind of amusing for some reason.

Scenario: Parents out of town smoking mad amounts of dro loud music neighbors call the police they bust in and layout every person that was in my house paraphenila which was alot....pipes,weed,cigarillos,scales and such.

I think for me to get a noise complaint I would have to take my guitar amp outside and crank it to ten. Other than that it simply wouldn't happen.

The only way the cops can come into your house, let alone on your property, is only either if they have a warrent, or eminent cause, such as an emergency, or looking for a runner, theif, etc. One of my friends has a crazy situation though. We can sit in this persons driveway, on their curb, in their front lawn, blaze l's, drink, anything. We've had like 9 person party bus hotboxes. we smoked a gotti there. We sit on the curb and smoke. It's by a park too, so cops drive by all the time, but they never stop, or anything at all. Its weird.
