Ok, so my friend tried pot a while ago and at first got very giggly and happy. He enjoyed it a lot but later had a bad experience from having to much of some good shit. Now he did it again a few times (off the same pot, only taking like 2 hits) and although he definitely gets high (he feels much calmer and really enjoys nature a lot more, enjoys just staring off into it) he wants to get the giggles and stuff again.

Is it likely that its his pot, or that he is only taking like 2 hits? Another thing is that he said before when he ate, the food felt much more powerful and he could make himself believe lots of crazy stuff like his eyelids were getting heavier and it would work, and now he doesn't have either of that. I want to tell him to just take like 5 tokes but he is afraid of having a similar experience (he said last time he smoked so much he couldn't think complete thoughts and he kept slipping out of consciousness)

being giggly is fun, but other types of highs are just as fun, just different. Just get stoned and let the weed work it's magic. Enjoy it and don't worry about what kind of high you're getting.

You really cant control the type of high you get. The type of marijuana and amount smoked can alter it a little, but you cant really choose your high.

Many long time smokers dont get the giggly effect much, usually due to tolerance. Maybe he could try taking a break for a week or so if he cares that much.

He probably needs to take more than 2 hits and get just a little bit higher. If he's worried about having another bad experience, he should try waiting a little longer between hits so he can feel how high he is getting and stop when he gets to the point he's trying to reach. Two hits might be enough to get a real beginner the giggles, but he might need a little more than that by now.

Very few people are ever able to relive their "first" high. It just doesn't happen. I've grown used to the fact that no matter how much i smoke, no matter what quality, that I'll nEVER get as high as I did my first few times.

he's not like a hardcore smoker, including the two recent times he smoked maybe 5 times total with a many month break in between.

You said he just stairs off into nature and such...well that is def a sign of being stoned, but I never get the giggles when I stare off into nature...I leap into my own brain about as deep as I can go and stay there...I can get really serious high if I want to, and I like to sometimes because I get my best ideas...If I want to get giggly (if the pot is right, cant just choose to get happy) than I have to find something funny...theres been hella times where something not remotely funny has happened, and I start to loose it, but it's not a choice I made...tell him to take more than 2 hits or try taking 2-3 bong rips and then engaging in some conversation or a movie, eventually when his environment calls for the giggles, he will get em...

yeah hes been doing 2 hits max, one time just one big hit got him high he said. Should I tell him to take at least 4?

I cant really answer that, it totally depends on the person...If I want to get high but not too high I take about 4-5 big bong rips or about 8-10 pipe hits or about 1 joint to myself...those number are completely average and vary from person to person and varies even more depending on the MJ...I like to smoke until my brain bleeds...

I can smoke 4 grams in one sitting and not get "giggly". Just doesnt happen anymore. Its been gone since the 4th or 5th time I smoked.
