Every year, our quietr little state becomes home to thousands of bikers headed to Sturgis. Literally every motel room within 200 miles of the city of Sturgis are fuilled, in any direction. Its a huge thing for our state's economy, and is generally a good time. However, as the link provided shows, theres always a possibility of some negative excitement.....gang violence there kind of died down during the 90's, but this year put an end to the peace it seems. I'm wondering how mnay more people are going to be involved in retaliation and whatnot? I'd be willing to bet the shooting isn't the end of violence this year.....

I heard about some shootings out there today in the middle of a smoke session with some friends....We have 5 friends out there that work together at the same business, one is the manager....they took all of the good buds out there..so with all the busts and violence goin on we got to wondering-havent heard from them in a about a week..

No worries....the people that got shot were all members of the Outlaws MC, and the neither the shooting nor stabbing involved anyone from SD

Lucky for all the innocent bystanders in the area... Depending on what they were shooting, they could've shot through a wall and killed someone blocks away.

Actually, it happened outdoors, and no bystanders were injured. It seems the Hells Angels are taking a hint from the urban gangs and have decided drive-bys are an effective method of attack. We're only at the 1/2 point of the rally....i'm guessing theres more blood to be shed. Maybe we'll luck out and they'll settle their differences elsewhere though.

Ah, I saw the shooting happened in a park, but I had to read it again to see that it happened in a state park. I was thinking more like an urban playground surrounded by houses lol..

I hope that if there is indeed more blood shed in SD over this, then we'll only be reading the obituaries of gang members.

My dad is there right now.
Actually he just got there yesterday. Every year he and his buddies ride their bikes out to Sturgis and chill there.... He's been doing it for years.
It's cool, I get the house to myself. And he gets to not be around

Yeah back in tehe ay violence especially in gangs at strugis was crazy, death toll like no years after have seen. Hopefully it calms down and no more bloodshed is seen.
