| New Jersey comes to mind. ![]() I lived in Minneapolis after high school for a year while I went to a trade school up there. Being from rural Nebraska and a wet-behind-the-ears kid, I found it to be very enjoyable. Sacks were plentiful back then anyway (early 80's). I believe Lake Street and Hennepin Ave. were streets to wander around back in the day. ![]() Ahh, the memories...Rod Stewart and the GoGo's concerts...Purple, spiked hair everywhere...Man, I hated the 80's. ![]() Lots of great kick back spots though. Lakes everywhere. ![]()

| My dad is from Minnesota. He farmed for a really long time, bought a Dairy Queen at 17, and ran for delegate at 18. My dad never smoked though so I don't know what to tell you. I've been up there a handful of times to see grandmom. And yeah, it doesn't look like a very weed-friendly place. Damn...if you couldn't find it at the Mall of America, you're either not looking for it hard enough or it really is dry as shit up there Places I don't like: I didn't like Wyoming. What a stupid place.

| Hated the damn town I grew up in. Just far enough away from anywhere that it was a royal pain in the ass to get anywhere, but close enough that I had friends in town who I wasn't able to see. My parents still live there and I couldn't stand being in that town. The kids I went to school with were almost ALL preps/jocks and were for the most part complete dicks. I couldn't wait to get the hell out of that town, and I'm glad I'm never going to have to live there again. It was weird because people would alwyas tell us how lucky we were to live there though. I guess small towns really ain't for me. ![]()

| well, from your original post, it sounded like you said the place sucked because it was all pale people. Of course they're pale people, Minnesota was largely settled by Swedes and Norwegians. Now if you were to say, "Hey I hate LA, all the people are brown" that sounds kinda racist.Coming from a family of pale people, I took offense. I grew up in the desert southwest and turned my skin damned near to leather (had two skin cancers burned off so far)because I felt the need to get dark because of jerks calling me casper since I started school. So, words hurt sometimes, dont blame me for your poor ability to communicate. actually came back on to delete that post because I'm more than a bit fatalistic in thinking people dont change and it was pointless. I hate the PC police, but I dont think you realize how your post actually sounds. I attacked you when I should have just pointed out what you said kinda sounded bad. Since you called me a dick, I wont apologize. |

| Minnesota is great. I love Minneapolis while I was there. And Plainsman is right. Hennepin Ave and Lake is the place to go! That's actually where I was staying and there were 3-4 head shops w/i walking distance. And the weed my friend got was pretty good too. |

| Minneapolis is amazing, there is a clown glass shop, electric fetus, and hydroponics store within biking distance of my house. And the music and live shows here are kick ass. I love minneapolis. |
