I hope so.
But with the case I have now, it could either extend it another year, or it could make it a worse of probation (where they start crackin down on me, check-in once a week, searching my house, and a lot more.)
the probation im on now is more laid back, its called "DEJ", look it up for more info, i don't know much between the both of them.

Snitching is general is not cool, but if this guy sells prescriptions and who knows what else, you may have done people a favor. Plus you shouldn't have to take the fall for something that he did. The tobacco was you're responsibility though. I wouldn't have given a name, I probably would've said that I saw a man fitting the description (and hopefully others did too) but I'm not acquainted with him in any way.

Just in!

The kid did not get in trouble.
The cops found him, searched him, and let him go.
He didn't get in any trouble, and hes not on probation.
So everything went good for him.

mm it says dej is where you admit to a crime and your put on informal probation for 6months to a year. it says if you do well the matter is dismissed. if you fuck up, THen you get on formal probation.

ive had informal probation for about a year..it was annoying as hell, all the community service, and those stupid juvenile classes you have to attend with your gaurdian..lol

Just take it as a lesson, your just there, you don't know shit. People shouldn't forget that some do get arrested for mistaken identity and gone to jail for it.

Giving a false name isn't always the answer either. Interfering with an investigation I think is a felony, obstruction of justice. A cop finds out your lying could get you into even more trouble, giving a false name isn't always the answer to go by. You were just there, that's it, you just showed up, you don't know anything. That was your story, you really did just get there, based on what you told us. That's all you had to say.

I'm not sure how far this could go but if you need to lie, just don't say anything at all. I don't think theres much they could do, can't arrest you for lying if you don't lie and can't arrest you for not sayin anything if you didn't do anything wrong unless they have evidence you actually did do something wrong.
